Review: Best for Plane CPAP - This is the best CPAP batter you can get imo. Buyer beware! Several other batteries advertised on desertcart are actually too large to bring and use on a plane. This is just about the largest capacity one you can get and actually use. The battery life is pretty good- I would say my resmed mini gets about 12-14 hours on a full charge. You can charge your phone/ipad an infinite number of times. The one downside I would say is the number of cords you need/they aren't the best. They are very short/proprietary so you can't replace them.
Review: Works as advertised - I use this battery with my travel cpap, the Resmed AirMini. It lasts about two nights (of 7 hours each) without recharge. I really like that with additional cables I can keep plugged into power and it sits there in stdby mode, as I travel quite a bit in 3rd world countries where power is always going on/off. Light, portable, def. the right choice. I also like that it has an LED light which you can turn on at night if your hotel room is so dark you can't see in the room. It just stays on and gives just enough light to do the job. Works great on flights too.

### ⭐ Flaky cheap output cable, intermittent contact, and heats up. Dangerous.
*by T***S on July 19, 2021*

I bought three of these: one for me, one for my girlfriend, and one to leave at my girlfriend's house for when I visit her there. I bought these so that they could be like a "UPS" for our ResMed AirSense 10 CPAPs, so when the power goes out in the middle of the night, we can keep sleeping. I haven't had the power go out yet since I bought these batteries, but I bought them because, in the past, the power *has* gone out, and I want to just sleep through it when it happens. So far, these batteries work as advertised, but they have some drawbacks that I will describe below. The good: - Battery worked well. I have not had to use it in a power-out situation myself yet, but I've used it for short periods on an airplane, and my girlfriend used it on a train trip where the power outlet situation was tricky. My girlfriend reports that she was able to use hers to sleep a full night on the train. - My girlfriend reports that the runtime was about 7 hours for her AirSense 10 CPAP. However, you must remember to turn off your tube heater and humidifier heater (as described in the instructions), otherwise your runtime would be much lower. Your mileage may vary depending on your CPAP pressure settings and the age of the battery. - Having a USB charger output on the battery is very useful. I have used that on an airplane trip. The bad: - The battery gives an annoying BEEP BEEP BEEP when it runs out of charge. I suppose that's to wake you up so you don't suffocate when your CPAP stops working. Personally, loss of pressure wakes me up anyway, but you might need that beep. The thing is, the battery doesn't know the difference between "I'm actually being used for a CPAP" and "I'm just sitting here". I had it beep at me in the latter situation, on a night when the battery had sat unplugged for a few days after having used it on an airplane trip. It was just sitting there on the nightstand, unused, and it went "BEEP BEEP BEEP". It should have been designed to allow you to easily disable the beep. - The extra-bright blue status LED shines all the time that the battery is plugged in. In some situations it can be annoying, enough to keep light-sensitive persons like us awake. I have to make sure that side of the battery is turned away from us on the nightstand. - The battery's shape doesn't lend itself well to being used in space-tight situations, where you don't have a lot of space on the nightstand. What I'm doing is placing the battery flat on the nightstand, and setting the CPAP atop the battery. This works, but the battery is smaller than the bottom of the CPAP, so it seems a little rickety like that, like playing CPAP Jenga. No problems with this arrangement so far. The really bad: - The cord is dangerously flaky. Details below. - I'm using the "output cord for AirSense 10" that was included with my two batteries. This is the cord that connects the battery to the CPAP. - My intended usage is to leave the battery plugged into the power supply, and have my CPAP plugged into the battery using the aforementioned cord. So that if the power goes out in the middle of the night, the CPAP should keep working and I would just sleep through the power outage. - On both of my units, the cord has gone flaky after several weeks of use. It does not make a good solid contact with the CPAP. The slightest wiggle will make the power go out on the CPAP, even something as little as the hose touching the cord (they connect next to each other on the back of the CPAP). Also, the poor/intermittent contact between the cord and the CPAP makes the cord heat up, so that it is physically hot to the touch, due to DC resistance. Once, even though I didn't wiggle the cord, the power stopped working while I was sleeping because of this heating-up problem. - Note that the battery was fully charged so it did not beep at me when the cord went flaky. I was awakened by the loss of pressure. So the aforementioned beep is even more useless. - I'm sure that the problem isn't the jack on the CPAP, because the original power supply that comes with the CPAP does not have this problem. It connects reliably and does not heat up. - The cord is not being strained or pulled at an angle or anything. It is long enough so that it reaches the socket comfortably and it's going straight in with no strain on it. - My girlfriend hasn't reported a problem with her cord yet, but I told her to watch out for it, since I had problems with 2 out of the 3 units we bought. Because I consider the flaky cord problem to be a safety issue, potentially life-threatening in some cases, I'm giving this a 1-star review. I'm also now leaving the flaky cord unplugged most of the time, so that I'm using the CPAP power supply directly. I'm only plugging it in when I suspect I will need it, for example, on nights where there is a storm and I suspect we might lose power. I'm going to try to contact the company and see if they can send me better replacement cords.
