Can Be Adapted to Other Bases
I purchased this for use with a different brand of rolling base for my Jet table saw with table extension. I was able to modify mounting this extension to the base by drilling holes to match the holes in the base and then substituting longer bolts to hold it all together. Construction is beefy with what appear to be heavy duty and durable casters. I did not have to shorten the longitudinal connection bar though this could be done if your extension legs sit closer to the saw than the design assumes. The leg-trough-caster beam can be positioned fore and aft to account for different saw configurations. I've only had it installed for a few days but it shows every sign of being built for the long run. My one "complaint:" this design uses those annoying screw-down stops that hold the stop rod (with rubber foot) in a vertical tube via a magnet that sticks the foot to the screw above. In my experience these do not hold especially well and the magnets can weaken over time, so that the foot falls loose, gets dislodged, and just generally makes moving the saw more laborious. Locking casters, or a captured lever-based design would make moving the saw oh so much nicer.

Very Sturdy
This works great and is very sturdy. Helps with moving the saw around my greenhouse which has turned into my shop. Easy to install.

Good Product for the Price
I purchased this mobile base with extension kit for my 1989 Unisaw (ex US gov) with the 52 inch fence. I read the reviews about some having issues but took the plunge anyway because of the good price and another shopfox base I own. I do not feel disappointed. The base is easy to move and stable. Putting it together was a pain (figure on spending about two hours) with scores of screws nuts and washers, but I didn't have any problems, having learned from others to include the special cross piece for the extension while putting the base unit together. All the holes that were supposed to be there were actually there and the tapped ones were indeed tapped. The stabilizing feet do raise and lower sufficiently. I noticed my box said "improved design" so maybe that is why mine didn't experience the issues others mentioned. Two things of note: there is some play in how the extension channel piece fits into the extension cross piece. No problem, but be sure to hold them when tightening the bolts so that the cross piece doesn't angle downward. This might contribute to problems wth the stabilizing feet not being able to adequately reach the floor as some have said. The other was, I assembled my unit with rubber gloves on because the hardware and metal seemed "dirty" (though it didn't look dirty) but left a fine grey metallic material on my hands. No telling what kinds of bad things are lingering in that, especially given the country of origin where manufacturing safety standards are sometimes lacking, hence the gloves. Maybe the California Prop 65 sticker on the box led to my caution, lol? I rate 4 stars because it is a fairly well built unit, adequate for the task, and an excellent value to boot.

lack of company care shows in this product
Holes are not in the same spots as they are in the picture, which means this does not smoothly fit with the table saw or the main base piece. Pieces were missing from the box and the delivery driver even handed me pieces that had fallen out in his truck.

Good Product that Works.
Works well and goes together easily. Does what it's supposed to do without any fuss. I did use shorter bolts that what was supplied (12mm vs 25mm), only to prevent catching a longer bolt on something as the unit is moved around.

Great extension for my Shop Fox Mobile base.
I acquired an old Craftsman table saw with an extension and a parallel cutting guide. The saw came on a Shop Fox mobile base for $100. The saw is great and has a 3/4 horse power motor. The extension needed support to be safe and flat. With minor modification (several new screw holes drilled and threaded) the extension mounted perfectly. I used IKEA adils, a piece of 1.5"x1.5" aluminum angle almost as wide as my extension, and 2 M8 brad connectors (for furniture repair) to attach the adils neat to the end of the extension. Now my saw is stable and on wheels. It can be moved easily around my shop and quickly locked in place.

Beware! NOT for older Shop Fox mobile bases
Recently received the mobile base extension kit but found upon examination there was no way to attach it to my Shop Fox mobile base. I have a General table saw with extended fence mounted on an older Shop Fox mobile base. This extension kit is supposed to attach to the mobile base by replacing the existing side rail with the new side rail w/mounting hardware. The problem with this is the new part has no drilled/tapped holes to allow for assembly like the existing part. The instructions are not clear concerning the attachment and the product pictured on Amazon is not what is shipped which clearly shows holes in the T-bar. I called Woodstock International tech support and was informed that D2259A is for the NEWER mobile bases but that D2259 has been discontinued for at least 6 years now! Amazon needs to update the picture, which presently shows the D2259, and make this known in the specifications. The bottom line is that this extension "kit" can be made to work if you drill and tap additional holes and fiddle with it but it is NOT a bolt on addition to the older Shop Fox mobile bases. I went ahead and drilled/tapped new M8 holes and attached this kit but not sure of its longevity as the T-bar is not the thickness as the original and this thinner metal means less contact area after tapping to accept the bolts. So, now you know and can make an informed decision. Just beware that if you have an older Shop Fox base then you'll have to drill/tap new holes to make this extension kit work for you! The photos show the finished results after improvising and drilling/tapping new holes.

Great Accessory
I purchased the D2259A to use with my D2057A with a Delta contractor table saw with extension table. Turns out the extension bar is designed for a larger table saw like a Delta Unisaw, but I was able to use the cross bar from my D2057A that is replaced with the cross bar that is provided with the D2259A and it works perfectly with my shorter extension table. Highly recommend to those that are thinking of purchasing a mobile base instead of building their own.
