A Suspenseful & Creative Game for All Ages
he Melissa & Doug Suspend Family Game is an absolute winner for our family game nights. We've had a blast playing it, and it's one of those rare games that genuinely appeals to everyone, from our youngest family members to the adults. The premise is simple but the execution is surprisingly challenging. You start with a simple stand and then take turns adding the notched, rubber-tipped wire pieces. Each piece you add shifts the balance, creating a unique, abstract sculpture. The tension builds with every turn, and the final piece is always a heart-stopping moment. It requires a steady hand and a good eye for balance, making it a fantastic way to develop hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills in a fun way. What I love most is the durability and quality of the game. The pieces are well-made and sturdy, designed to withstand plenty of family use. The setup is quick and easy, and the game itself is fast-paced, which keeps everyone engaged. We've found that it's just as much fun with two players as it is with a larger group. If you're looking for a game that's a fresh take on classic balancing games like Jenga, this is it. It’s a great, screen-free activity that brings everyone together for some lighthearted competition and a lot of laughs. It's a fantastic addition to our game collection.

A Fun Balancing Act for All Ages!
Why It's Fun for All Ages - Easy to Learn, Hard to Master: The concept is simple—add rods to the growing structure without causing it to tumble. Yet, the challenge grows with every turn, making it exciting for kids and adults alike. - Inclusive Gameplay: Whether you're playing with young children, teens, or adults, everyone can enjoy the thrill of steady hands and strategic placement. Even grandparents can join in on the fun! Different Ways to Play - Classic Mode: Follow the instructions and take turns adding rods to the structure. The player who causes the structure to fall loses the round! - Speed Round: Add a timer for each turn to amp up the intensity and laughter. - Team Play: Pair up players and strategize to keep the balance going. This variation is perfect for family gatherings or larger groups. - Creative Builds: Skip the competition and let everyone collaborate to build the tallest or most intricate structure possible. This mode is great for younger children or when you want a relaxed play session. - Challenge Mode: Introduce house rules like “only use your non-dominant hand” or “blindfold one player” to keep the game fresh and exciting. What Makes It Stand Out - Educational Fun: Suspend helps improve hand-eye coordination, focus, and problem-solving skills. - Durable Quality: The pieces are well-made, with a smooth finish that ensures safety for kids. - Compact and Portable: The game comes in a neat package, making it easy to store and take along for vacations or trips.

Suspend: Love it already!
Had the suspend game open for 15 minutes, and my 8 year old, unprompted, can't stop saying "epic, fun, this is the best game ever!" And all other positive words he can think of. We played a quick round with it and my 12 year old keeps exclaiming how fun it is. Right now the 8 year old is trying to see all the different combinations that can be made before the tower falls to the table and if he can use all of each colored piece, etc. I like how easy this game is. I think my 5 year old will be just as excited to play it as well. I love games that teach and can be used in many ways. This game teaches weight scales and what can tip them, in the most basic sense. When we played it as a game, I honestly didn't read the rules, but told my kids that you take tuns rolling and laying down the color. When the tower falls, you start over; so there are no winners or losers. They were fine with those rules and enjoyed just seeing where they could place the next piece. As an adult, I was highly interested too!

Fun game!!!
This is a unique and somewhat challenging game when you follow the rules. I like the compactness of the game, easy for traveling. A fun family game to add to our collection. The only thing that would make it better is a more upright and stable base design because it slightly leans to one side making it easier for pieces to fall.

The best game ever!
This little game is a lot more than the size of the package. It's kind of like Pick-up-Sticks hung on a hook, and like Tip-It! in the way the tangle of pieces re-balances for every play. It has tension and drama like Jenga. It will never play the same way twice, thanks to the myriad of ways to hang the pieces and tangle them together. I applaud the designers for their very simple yet very complex design. The pieces are simple rods of metal with rather precise notch-shaped bends, reminiscent of small coat hangers. A die roll and a color code determines the length, mass, and balance configuration of the next rod to be added to the tower. While most pieces have a symmetric hanging point, and thus balance perfectly, the addition of a second piece must create an imbalance, and therein is the fun aspect in the game: the tower is constantly shifting and tilting. What is more, the notches permit interlocking of pieces for the creative tower engineers, or hanging of the pieces in a precarious manner for the devious minds ready to sabotage the next player around the table. The colored rubber tips add a bit of traction to multiply the number of possibilities. The rules are simple, making the game quick to set up and easy to explain. An obvious ending happens when the tangled tower crashed from the hook. The denouement can be slow-motion as single connections fail in sequence, which adds to the laughter. Even without rules, it is fun simply building a hanging structure solo. Young children can easily play this game. We have some crazy gamers in our family, who extended the rules to tally points for the number of notches that fall in a given turn, and to sometimes require a player to remove a color-coded stick from the tower instead of add one to it. Still further variations can be created by placing the base on a slope, using a shaky table, not using the dominant hand, securing the starting hook in an inverted position with a bit of tape, adding a rubber band to the hook, and so on. We have not yet exhausted our ideas after almost 2 years playing this game. I am eager to see what is next! Four-notch sticks that have no symmetry? Angled sticks? Springs??

Fun game for ages 4 and up
Purchased this for an 8 yr old boy, and his 4 yr old cousin was very interested. It is interesting and very interesting to play. There are many ways to play and it is very challenging. Keeps kids busy and is pretty much unbreakable. Wires that you build and balance are very sturdy and not dangerous for correct age group. Great for adults as well, or mix your group. Would be fun adult party game on game night, or play it by yourself for a challenge. Worth the money and well liked by at least 3 different ages at the family gathering. Should be played at the table or hard surface area. Would purchase again for a gift.

Perfect game for friends, family & yourself
We were introduced to this game by my then 8 year old niece in London. We ended up playing it a lot in the holidays. I bought my own set for this years holidays and we had lots of fun - a group of people ranging from 15 - 53 with an 83 year old avidly watching and contributing with her suggestions on what to do. You can play it by the rules or you can make your own rules. It really gets fun when you are trying to set up someone else for a big crashdown. It also teaches you something about the value of a steady hand, physics and how sometimes structures will stay suspended even if you thought that the whole thing will come flying down. Its a very adaptable game - for big groups or small or you can play it solo and make your own creation. Works with friends, family
