I seriously LOVE the Dream On Me Sunset 3”Extra Firm Mini Crib Mattresses so much that I have them on regular reorder and get a new one every 4 months. Now don’t get me wrong, these are great and I’m sure if used on a travel crib for a baby it would last a long time but I actually use them for my large dog as crate pads. It may sound crazy but these 3” mattress's are the perfect size to fit an extra large dog crate. At 3” it’s not too thick or bulky and works great in my dog’s XL crate. I’ve tried other crate pads for his crate in the past but they were too stiff and hard, too thin or made for durability, not comfort. My dog is about 100 lbs and is a senior at 11 yrs old so I like him to have a nice place for him to sleep, especially since larger dogs tend to have joint problems as they age. The fit is perfect, it’s waterproof, and affordable. He loves his crate and will often go in it to rest during the day as opposed to resting on the floor. He sleeps great on it and an added bonus is it doesn’t retain smells or moisture so it’s easy to wipe clean if he spills a little water. As I said, I buy one of these about every four months but when you consider he weighs 100 lbs I think it’s easy to understand why four months of him sleeping on him turns him into pancakes. I’m sure there are others that would last longer but this particular mattress doesn’t have any hard coil springs in it which means it’s extra safe for him so if you love your dog as much as I do and it happens to be an extra large dog these are great. And I would highly recommend them.

AMAZING! It’s nice and firm which is safe for young babies and toddlers ! It’s firmness definitely follows sleep saftey guideline, yet at the same time it Isn’t ROCK HARD like the “mattress” the play pin comes with . It’s still soft enough for back support and comfortability for baby ! It’s a 3 inch mattress like advertised , and it’s also has plastic like material covering which is great for water resistant purposes. The plastic like material that covers the whole mattress is soft enough to not bother baby and I’d well put together. I also placed my own water resistant bed cover for extra protection and longevity of the mattress; it has a softer top that’s easy to wash so it softens the mattress texture even more. The mattress fits beautifully in the Play pin , it’s the perfect size ! I have the cheapest graco pack and play they offer hahaha! . Overall it’s a 10/10, I would recommend if your toddler seems uncomfortable with a hard base or if you’d want your baby to have a little less of a rough surface to sleep on that’s still within safe sleep standards !

Bought a second mattress since the German Shepherd loves the first one. Typically, I switch sheets weekly so he had a clean one. Baby bed sheet or twin wrapped around twice. If you have one of these work awesome or buy matching from the dollar or sale section here. The reason for the removal of one star is this mattress isn't waterproof. Thought with vinyl cover it is. But, when sprayed for cleaning learned not so much. On the second mattress, I left the shipping plastic so this helps make cleaning easy. Granted he's a dog. This said he’s less stinky than a baby whose pooh oozed or vomited and ya didn't see it quite fast enough to where it soaked through kinda yuk. Although, German Shepherd are notoriously clean and groom often. Leaving grooming puddles from washing. Plus, dusty from outdoor play, which is why they groom a lot. With a waterproof option, it's easy to freshen up his bed. Unlike big pillows or beds that are impossible at his size to wash. One thing he loves but isn't size-wise inside, a baby pool with a cushion and blanket. I use this outside in colder months. In warmer months it's a pool party city. Indoors, this mattress slips under the bed on the side an front and is easily portable for road trips in the jeep. I'm letting the mattress air dry for a couple of days to see if this works. And, will slip into a 30-gallon trash bag for cleanliness. My guy doesn't mind the crinkle nor does his two kitties who curl next to him. Since the cats don't use the mattress as a biscuit-making surface with their tiny claws the water or slobber getting through isn't from love. I think the imprinted dots have holes as part of the air out option. If you get this for your wee one add a waterproof cover. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ---- update above Bought this mattress from the crushed box section for the German Shepherd bed. He loves this. Easy to clean. Comfy. Simple to fit with a sheet and his favorite sleeping bag or blanket. We like to change it up with different style making cleaning in between easier, too 😁 My son’s grown now. When he was little he had a mattress twice as thick. Considering SIDS, maybe this might be better if someone is concerned. Overall I'm super happy I bought this for my boy.
