Water filters into your mouth, not into bottle
I purchased this to filter water for drinking and making tea in my electric kettle during travel for work. For drinking purposes, the water is good, but keep in mind you are only getting about 500mls - it’s not a lot of water, similar to what you get with a regular sized bottle of water. The straw does require some strong sucking in order to work. Think of a pretty think milkshake. Not at all like sucking water through a straw. For traveling and keeping up your large fluid intake, there may be better options available. For backpacking, it could work, but again, 500mls at a time isn’t a lot, if you wanted to add a powder or something to the water you would have to remove the filter (and it may not work - not sure). But you wouldn’t be able to make your coffee or camp meal with the water. To do this, you would have to invert the bottle and repeatedly shake the water out (which you probably wouldn’t want to do this for ten minutes when you are already exhausted and hungry from a hike). For backpacking, unless you are going ultra ultra light and time is not an issue for you, a traditional water filter like a Katadyn is probably more practical. For using with my kettle during travel, again, I have to stand there and shake the water through the filter and straw and into the kettle - it’s not practical for my needs. I probably could have researched it a bit more before buying - the water filters into your mouth, not into the bottle. You are however keeping single use plastic bottles out of the landfill, so that is a good thing. The straw mechanism does leak. I keep this in the side pouch of my backpack, which I often toss onto the hotel bed when I get in - this has caused some disappointing surprises. So just be mindful of the leak potential.

Hard to suck but overall great
The bottle itself is very durable and strong, and it has yet to garner a scratch even though I’ve dropped it a million times on cement already. I can’t tell exactly what his bottles made of, but I’d venture to say that it’s the opposite of the material Apple uses to make their phones with. 5/5 durability It comes with a nice handy keychain that lets me attach it to my backpack and keep it with me without having to carry it which is really helpful. 5/5 convenience I haven’t tried the straw on any “unsafe” water yet, but I did try it with my fossit water that normally tastes like drainage from the hot tub of the cast of pawn stars and amazingly enough the straw made it taste like normal water again. 6/5 water filtration The only issue I would have with this product is how hard it is to suck the water out of the bottle. Like I understand there’s a filter in there so it’s going to be harder than usual, but you really have to suck like you’re a ten buck hooker two months behind on rent. 4/5 suckability. The price is also a bit high compared to other water bottles, but I don’t regret the decision at all, except for the fact that I’m now two months behind on rent. 4/5 price

Traveling abroad
As an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, access to clean and safe drinking water is a top priority. The LifeStraw Go Water Filter Bottle has become an indispensable part of my gear, ensuring that I stay hydrated without worrying about the quality of the water I consume. This innovative water filter bottle has exceeded my expectations and has become an essential companion on all my adventures. First and foremost, the LifeStraw Go combines the convenience of a reusable water bottle with the power of a highly effective water filtration system. The integrated LifeStraw filter technology is designed to remove bacteria, parasites, and microplastics, making it capable of transforming contaminated water from rivers, lakes, and streams into safe, drinkable water. During my travels to remote locations and on backcountry hikes, this feature has been an absolute game-changer. The filter's ease of use is another standout feature. Simply fill the bottle from any freshwater source, screw on the cap with the attached filter, and sip through the mouthpiece. There's no need for batteries, pumping, or prolonged waiting for purification to take place. It offers instant peace of mind, knowing that I'm drinking clean water regardless of the source. The LifeStraw Go Water Filter Bottle is built with durability in mind. Its BPA-free Tritan plastic construction ensures that it can withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures, resisting impacts and scratches while remaining lightweight. I've accidentally dropped it a few times, but it has proven to be resilient and leak-proof, saving me from the anxiety of potential water bottle disasters. Moreover, the bottle's 650ml capacity strikes the perfect balance between portability and usability. It fits comfortably in most backpack side pockets, and its sleek design makes it easy to grip. The addition of a handy carabiner loop on the cap allows for convenient attachment to my backpack or belt, ensuring I always have water within reach. Another aspect I appreciate is the filter's longevity. The LifeStraw filter can effectively purify up to 1,000 liters of water before needing replacement. For a solo traveler like me, this translates to several months or even years of worry-free hydration, depending on usage. Furthermore, the company's commitment to sustainability is commendable. The LifeStraw Go Water Filter Bottle reduces single-use plastic waste, as I no longer need to purchase bottled water during my journeys. This not only saves money but also helps reduce my environmental impact. In conclusion, the LifeStraw Go Water Filter Bottle is an essential piece of gear for anyone who loves to explore the great outdoors or travels to regions with questionable water sources. Its reliable filtration system, durability, and portability make it an indispensable companion for hiking, camping, backpacking, and travel adventures. With the LifeStraw Go by your side, you can confidently stay hydrated and quench your thirst wherever your adventures take you. I wholeheartedly recommend this water filter bottle to all outdoor enthusiasts looking for a reliable and eco-friendly solution for clean drinking water on the go.

Love lifestraw, but not the bottle
I'm a university student with access to clean water foundations, so I don't have a use for this now; however, I used this water bottle when traveling and had a drank water with peace in mind knowing that I was using the filter system. Please note that filtering water does not mean it purifies, so when you drink juice the liquid will still taste like juice .The filter just works to catch the bad bacteria in the water. I really like the mechanism of the water bottle and the included clasp; however, there are some design issues. It is not easy to drink out of. You have to be forceful when drinking, but I understand that's the price you get for drinking out of the straw. Another issue I have is that it breaks way too easily. If you drop it, expect it to leave a mark or worse case break. I've had this bottle replaced three times and everytime I drop it something breaks off or there is a indention int he bottle that causes it to leak. You can easily fix this by buying a quality water bottle ( ie. hydroflask) and buying the separate cap version of the lifestraw, which they also sell. Overall, the concept of lifestraw is worth it if you're traveling a lot or just want peace of mind when you drink water from tap or a fountain, but I wouldn't buy the bottle, just the straw and the cap.

Perfect for any trip or hike
Purchased this for a Caribbean cruise worrying that at some of the port stops I might need to clean the water before drinking it. It was perfect. I didn’t worry about which water fountain I filled it from, it always had the same fresh, clean taste. Used it daily throughout the trip. Two things to note: - one problem was how hot it would get at the beach. Always had to make sure I filled it with lots of ice due to the lack of insulation. - second issue was the pressurization on the flight. I had read that you needed to leave the lid unscrewed a bit to ensure it didn’t leak and I had forgotten. When I went to take a sip on the flight, I opened the spout and water started shooting out of the spout. Luckily my backpack was waterproof and my clothes dried before landing. On the flight home I made sure I unscrewed the lid a bit and didn’t have any issues

Feels like an engineering marvel!
Are you looking for something that can really filter water? Maybe you just saw the trend with vodka and want to see the news. Either way this is certainly a great purchase if you're looking for a way to clean the water you're consuming. I should mention that the fact that it needs to be wetted before usage with clean water is a little frustrating from a hiking perspective, but its easy to get around that and the tool is second to none! Overall, a fantastic purchase for ensuring clean, potable water, albeit with a minor initial inconvenience that's easily surmountable.

Phenomenal technology. Leaks terribly.
I like this bottle a lot, and I really want to love it, but it's leaked constantly since I first got it. This bottle has literally saved my life, so I don't want to complain *too* much, but I've had such a hard time dealing with it leaking that I've actually given up. On the plus side, the customer service at LifeStraw is incredible. When I first emailed them about the leaking bottle, they responded immediately, assured me it wasn't normal, and after I sent a few pictures of the cap they sent another cap free of charge. This new cap leaks as well, under the exact same circumstances: when it's sideways or upside-down, when I'm en route and it bounces, when I'm on a plane or anywhere else with a change in air pressure, and when it's hot outside. When I emailed customer service again to explain this, they said there's only so much they can do about air pressure, and recommended I open the straw before going anywhere with a pressure change. I've tried that for the last few weeks, and I will say it leaks *less*. But it still leaks every day, and I just have to plan for my things to get wet. I'm going on a trip to Guatemala soon and I will be taking the bottle with me for safety purposes, but I've resigned myself to getting better customer service from the company itself because the representative I spoke to wanted me to send pictures of the new cap they sent me just like the first time. I'm hesitant to believe their advice about air pressure because I flew with a colleague who's LifeStraw bottle *never* leaks under any circumstances. I'm wondering if it's the straw itself that is causing the problem but they don't want to replace it because it's more expensive than the cap? I recommend this product in terms of function. It does its job of filtering unclean water wonderfully. I don't mind having to suck the straw a little harder than a normal one if it means I can drink water out of a stream when I'm camping hundreds of miles away from civilization. However, I recommend you consider buying from a competitor if you plan to pack your bottle next to valuable items that can't get wet.

Great for the trail or emergency prep
Perfect solution for backpacking or emergency prep. Well designed & well built. It works. Comes with a clip so it won't fall out of your pack unnoticed 2 miles back on the trail. Easy to clean. Bought 4, none of them leak. It's not like drinking from an ordinary straw, some suction is required to get the water moving, but not so much as to complain about as some reviewers have done (read the instructions and keep your filter clean, so problems don't arise!) Convenient replaceable charcoal filter capsules. Would be nice to have a 1 liter bottle size option (to match up with water treatment tablets proportions., most of which are sized for one or two liters of water.) Pricey, but fair value considering the convenience.

Appears a good product - will now test and see how well it works and lasts
Received my LifeStraw Go 2-stage filtration bottle today. Looks well made. I had read some negative comments on here so thought I would give my thoughts - I prepared it as per instructions and used it on tap water to test it: - The lid seals well on the bottle with no leaks - The mouthpiece doesn't leak when closed - however, water can get through the mouthpiece if it is not closed shut - when I turned the bottle upside down with the mouthpiece open there was a constant dripping of water and so it's important the mouthpiece is fully closed when in a bag - I don't see this any different to other bottles of this type though - I found the water flowed very easily on drinking - hardly any more effort than a normal drinking bottle - however, the mouthpiece does come with a clear protective (hygiene) thin plastic sleeve on it over the silicone (like for example mouthwash often has over the cap) - it must be removed - this protective plastic actually has a small hole in it - I inadvertently tried the bottle without removing it because there is nothing in the instructions about it and it's not immediately obvious that this plastic sleeve should be/can be removed (being clear shrink wrapped film - I wonder if others who found it difficult to get water through left this in place? - The taste of the water was no worse - in fact I would say better - than the fresh water straight from my tap I tested it with - absolutely no other residual taste Looking forward to trying it out for real on my next big hill walk

Superbly designed for travel - Great Value
Amazingly designed product. Easy to use, hygienic, great design, good filter quality. I wanted to use this when travelling through trains in India, as I wanted to avoid water from plastic bottles for two reasons 1) Suspect quality of water inside these bottles and 2) to shun Single use plastic bottles which are extremely harmful for the environment. Lifestraw took away all my tensions, as I could fill it with water from the tap at stations, where RO water was not available. One bottle is sufficient for 1 person, as it is for 650 ml only. It is also easy to clean and very hygienic, as it's sipper flips in and has a silicone cover.

Well-loved
My son is in Asian military that serves water that tastes worse than the swimming pool. Buying this for Christmas just made his day. He said the bottle follows him everywhere he goes (and he's a unit commander). That's saying something. He was heart broken when he accidentally toppled it and broke its mouthpiece. I've asked every store and there's no part replacement. It's so expensive, it's practically an investment. I'm really battling whether to buy him another, and I have a feeling I'm gonna lose the arm wrestling and give in. It's really a wonderful product. Kudos to the business owner!

Perfetta
Articolo molto consigliato, arrivato in tempi perfetti.
