Absolutely recommend with double thumbs up! Four sets, if you include my husband's vote. I got this because of my dry eyes and the recommended treatment to use a wet compress nightly. Washcloths are messy and get cold fast. I love the concept of the cloth type hot compresses that give more moist heat, but I don't like how hard they are to clean and how hard they can be to say on (many don't have bands). With this, I realize I'm not getting the same moist heat, but it's still good. It is easy to heat up (pop in microwave for 10-15 seconds -- but be careful, as it goes from "is this warm?" to "holy hot!" very quickly. Stays nice and warm, is a good size, perfect for night time use (that's how my husband got into it... says it helps him relax and fall asleep. It's like magic actually.), and easy to clean (HUGE bonus for me, as I don't want to mess with eyes).

I love it!!!!! The last one I ordered three years ago was only a third full of beads. This one is filled just right. I have used these for years and they are perfect for blepharitis. They hold the heat for 10 - 15 minutes. I have cut pieces of old thin wash cloths the right size to fit over my eyes under the mask. That keeps the mask clean and not touching my eyes. And it allows me to add moisture from the cloth. You could buy terry cloth and cut it to size. I dampen the cloth and heat it in the microwave with the mask. Then wait until they are both the right temperature to put on my eyes. Be careful and heat the mast the number of seconds stated in the directions. Then if it's not warm enough, add a few seconds at a time. I have enough cloths to use a clean cloth every time I use the mask so the bacteria on my lids is not transferred by a used cloth. The used cloth goes into the wash. This works so well that this is my third mask in 6 years since I found the product. I have never had one pop. I bought the new one because the old ones were not filled enough and the beads were starting to disintegrate from use. I love them! The price of this is a real deal.

These work great while they last. Mine lasted for about 4months before they started leaking from the sides. Seems like when I'd kept them in the freezer they seems to have broken off at one of the points where it was bent and when I put them on it started leaking. Dont know if it might happen to all of them. But I'd recommend keeping it out for storage and putting them in the freezer a day before you plan to use them. I was kind of sad that they didn't last long. But I had another one so I didn't bother with the returns. I use mine after long hours on the computer. It stays cool for a long time. I typically use mine for about 15-20 mins and it's very relaxing.

I have dry eyes and my doc suggested I get some sort of mask I can heat and use first thing in the morning. I use it right after waking up when my eyes are a mess. I microwave it for 17 seconds (I don't have an 1100 watt) and then I lie in bed for 15 minutes with the mask on. It just drains all the stuff from my eyes, I clean myself up...should wear a bib, clean the mask, put it away...and my eyes feel wonderful. Naturally, all that wonderfulness doesn't last all morning but it really does the trick for sleep cleansing my eyes. It is also very relaxing. 15 minutes of warmth on your eyes just gives you a nice new outlook for the day. Great product.

I have bought several of these eye masks over the years. So I know exactly what color it should be when received and what color it changes to when cold. The item is supposed to be blue in normal temperature it was clear. When cold it should turn to blue but this changed slightly to 2 different colors. Something is wrong. Defective item and interestingly can’t be returned. I wonder is it because they just want to send customers JUNK and charge them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!! Very disappointing

I bought this face mask to help with under eye bags, and discoloration. I was getting sick of buying the throw away under-eye patches and wanted something more sustainable. Pros: -It fits around my head well, and the strap is comfortable -the little beads change colors based on how hot or cold it is. So when I freeze it they turn purple, and then as it warms up they turn blue Cons: -I want to be able to take it out of the freezer and stick it on my face right away. It's way too cold to do this. I have to put some kind of buffer like a towel in between the mask and my eyes. -It warms up pretty quickly. I'd say in about 10 minutes it goes from freezing to just slightly cool. I want to be able to use it for a half hour or so, but it doesn't keep the cool that long. I'll admit I haven't yet used it on the warm setting. Overall I'll keep using the product. I just don't like it as much as the under eye patches for my needs.

I've recently suffered from an allergic reaction to something that presented with contact dermatitis on my eyes. The result was very swollen, itchy, red, inflamed eyes that hurt constantly. I thought they were going to drive me nuts and it was all I could do to keep my hands off of them. I tried putting lotion on every time I couldn't resist the urge to scratch and that helped some, but there were times that only ice packs helped, especially when I laid down at night to try and sleep. The problem is, I'm a side sleeper and ice packs don't stay on all by themselves unless you sleep on your back. I found the TheraPearl Eye-ssential Mask at Amazon and ordered it without hesitation. I liked that it could frozen or heated in the microwave. So far, I've only used it frozen, but it is nice to have the warm option in the same mask. This mask helped me immensely. While it didn't completely cure my eye issue (only an aggressive course of Prednisone did that), the mask did give me some relief and helped me get to sleep at night. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered a second one so that I have another ready after the first one defrosts. I imagine this will be a nice comfort the next time I have a headache as well.

In my last eye exam I was told that my meibomian glands (basically automatic oilers for the eyelids) are clogged. Some days I awake with my eyes so dry that I can't seem to blink and it takes several minutes to get them working. Heat was suggested as a way to get the oil flowing. I've been very pleased with this mask, though I've only used it a few times, it really does the trick. After about 5 or 6 minutes the eyes are working well, better than I'm able to get them to work without the heat. If the mask leaks in a few weeks as some reviewers have claimed, I'll update this review. I find that 9 seconds in the microwave is enough to heat it about right. The manufacturer says never heat in the microwave for more than 15 seconds. I don't use the strap. Update I've used this for about 6 months now and I noticed that when the pouch is heated up that there seems to be more air in it than when it was new. Finally, I noticed a low squeak from it when it was just out of the microwave. That relieved the pressure and it rests more comfortably on my eyes now. I've NOT noticed any leaks of anything wet coming from it and it does not seem to have a hole in it when it is cool. So, I guess that it only has than little hole when it is warm and pliable. I do treat it with respect, still it seems to be be sealed up good when it is cold, so there is every any mess. Another update. I've used this for about 14 months now and the plastic envelope which contains the pretty blue pearls is started getting stiff and has finally become too stiff to be effective. Not bad for about 380 heatings. So I bought a new one. The new one has about twice as many "pearls" and requires 18 seconds on high instead of 9 seconds. It comes with instructions regarding heating time based on wattage of the microwave used, but the times are too low for me. The manufacturer's recommendation heats it to only slightly warm to the touch. I increase the recommended time by about 30%.
