Gator Door Strike Plate 2-1/4" Latch Restorer, Satin Nickel, 1-Pack

Fixed all 3 of my doors that have been plate-less since we replaced the knobs several years ago bc the new plates didn’t fit. Was doing some other renovating and decided to ask Gemini if there was anything I could do to fix the doors, and it told me this thing was available! Super easy install (just look at the picture and place both pieces facing the right direction), and all 3 doors immediately closed nice and smooth and tight. Looks decent too. Yay! Note 2 doors are regular knobs but one is a French door situation and it worked great in that one too. For me as you can see in the pics, I needed a plate that left the entire existing hole open. The plates that came with my door knobs were too small and blocked the existing hole so wouldn’t let it shut all the way. Was so excited to have these fixed.

I will admit I was skeptical about this working but I ordered and it arrived in time. I read the backside quickly and removed my old strike plate that was useless due to Texas soil settlement. I had this installed in its place in less than five minutes and to my surprise it works perfectly! My bathroom door now closes properly and stays closed. Thank you very much! I plan to purchase a few more of these to keep on hand.

Great product! It works! I’m amazed! I was fiddling with the existing strike plate for a long time because the door wouldn’t latch without slamming it shut. I installed this Gator Strike Plate in less than 5 minutes and the door latches without any effort at all. Highly recommend.

I bought this to fix a door in our home that has never latched quite right. The strike and the latch were just a little out of alignment and the latch would not catch to keep the door closed. I took the old strike off and screwed this one on. The screw holes for this strike lined up just right with the existing holes. I did not need to cut or drill anything. It took about 10 minutes start to finish. I closed the door and the latch finally catches in the strike and the door stays closed.

Kind of fixed the door not shutting but only because it got caught on the second plate just barely. I didn’t trust that so i swapped this to another door and that seemed to work ok for it. I got a 3 pack of shims for 10 bucks at various thicknesses for cheaper that worked better than this for my other doors that needed a shim.

Perfect fit! I initially forgot the back plate but it’s super easy to install. So fyi both parts go on together. It immediately fixed my door problems. I didn’t have to adjust anything, it was as it was made perfectly for my situation.

This Gator Door Strike Plate is awesome and easy to assemble. I literally got off work at 2am, and put this thing on in a matter of minutes and my door is now latching perfectly. I no longer have to worry about the door bouncing back up, or slowly opening from the strong winds here in Louisiana. I did also order, shim plates just in case and I may still add one because there was a sizable gap.

Needed my automatic door lock to shut properly and this allows the door to seal tight and deadbolt close seamlessly

Does exactly what it says it will do, high quality, easy to install and the door remains closed 😉.

This absolutely saved my doors. Used it first on the back and ordered a second one for the front door. It allows the lock to move up and down
