How to get people back into Golf!!! Use these balls and feel like a Pro on the Tee Box
I played 14 holes (twilight all you can golf rate) with this ball just a couple of days ago and I shot a 41 on a par 35. For me my normal score for that side would have been around 50. I was literally laughing out loud at every tee box after I hit another fairway. Of my 14 tee shots, only 1 missed the fairway and it was in the first cut of rough by 8 inches!!! And in reality I had lined up incorrectly so I blame myself. On the 2 par 3s I was on the green each time and made the par which is unheard of for me. I had 5 pars which I have not done in years and this was my best score for that course on the back side. I have a huge case of the yips on the tee box because of my 40 degree slice so I try to think of all of the things I am supposed to do and end up hating golf. I was going to quit playing after this year because it just ended up being no fun anymore. I started just using a 5 iron off the tee just to keep the ball in play. Now, because of this ball, I am going to play again on Sunday (2 days from now) and I have signed up for a Myrtle Beach golf trip with 15 other buddies who are all dying to try these balls. I had 2 of the best drives on holes number 12 and 15. When I played the "extra" holes, there is a par 5 that I almost reached in 2 shots which I have never ever done. I am not a long hitter at all but I did have an interesting comparison. I hit my Polara 3 piece in the middle of the fairway and then took out a Pro V1, same swing, and sliced it my usual 40 degrees. The Titleist wound up in the rough and behind the Polara by 25 yards. I never had an issue with distance one time with the driver. The thing you never think about is your second shot. I used to live in fear of hitting a 3 wood or a 5 wood because I would aim out of bounds on the left side knowing I would hook the ball. This works ok for links style courses but on tight courses I always have to hit 6 iron which means I still have another full iron into the green. Now I can take out a 3 wood and have no fear. I also never adjusted the ball on the fairway or the rough. I figured it would sort itself out in the air. And it always did. With all that being said, I did notice some interesting shot trajectories with my irons, mostly the 8 iron. I was not striking the ball well with my irons but they had a very top spin like trajectory. However, I never had a problem with distance and they all went straight so I am taking some much better golfers with me on Sunday and seeing if they experience the same thing. I also found that I like the feel and sound of these balls when putting. I know it seems strange but I was putting very well and the the bounce off of the clubface was just perfect. I can't explain it. So after having said all of that, I am just a recreational golfer and never really cared about golf or playing anywhere nice because of my horrible game. Now I am buying a new driver, setting up golf trips, and saving for a new set of irons all because of a golf ball. Golf Digest talks about geting people back into the game and for me this is it. Make the game fun and allow us to feel like a pro sometimes. I stand at the tee box, swing as hard as I can, and then get 3 legitimate chances at birdie in 9 holes. I am going from playing 5 times a year to playing at least once a week and going to pour around $1,000 into new clubs and driver. How can this not be good for the game? I never play tournaments so that is no issue and when I play with friends instead of them spotting me 5 to 6 strokes we will play even as I have told them all I play these balls.

Straighten outs your shot, but does seem to cost distance
I purchased two boxes of these balls for a golf trip in the summer of 2014. I've played golf all my life and have always battled a mild slice (re: fade) with mixed-success. I read the reviews of this ball, and thought I'd give it a go. I played 72 holes over the past three days using this ball (among others), and believe I have sufficient experience now to write a review. I am bogey golfer - I don't break any records, but I am also not terrible. I am the typical weekend warrior golfer! *The Good* It works. Yep. Simple as that. I played with the same guys I've been playing with for years without telling them about my new ball. Right off the first tee box, I hit it and you could tell it had something going on in the air. It didn't fly like a normal ball. My shot took off a bit to the right, but then made a weird turn to the left, straitened out, and landed in the fairway. It was really cool, and I was shocked! I had to tell my buddies what the ball was, and soon, we were all trying out the Polara. Now, it doesn't fix a shank. If you don't hit it well (if you hit a skyball, or top the ball), it ain't gonna work. But, if you catch it full on and pop it up in the air decently, it absolutely works quite well. You can absolutely see the ball self correcting in the air on most shots. It's really cool to watch! It's important to note that higher degree drivers/woods and irons work the best. I normally play a 9.5 degree driver but I played an 11 degree driver and the difference in hang time seemed to make a world of difference. Hit it high! On the few shots I had that went low, the ball seemed to play more normally. It seems that it needs the hang time in the air for the dimply pattern to work appropriately. *The Bad* Distance. It does not fly as far. Yes, as many reviewers have mentioned, it gets an excellent bounce and role. But, it does not fly as far. It seems like some of the "self correction" dimple pattern does straighten the ball flight out, but it tends to drop down very quickly. This was also the general consensus in our four-some. Sound. It sounds like you are hitting a ball filled with concrete. Not a huge problem, but it does not sound like a normal ball. I suppose some folks may be bothered by that. Feel. I played the Polara off each tee box, but switched to a softer ball around the green. The Polara is a hard ball, and doesn't seem to play well around greens. *Overall* I will keep a box of these in my bag from now on. While I still prefer to play a "normal" ball, if I am making good contact but kicking the ball left or right, I will absolutely bull out a Polara.

Puts the fun back in the game!
I have used these balls for the last 20 rounds or so and I like them a lot. I have read tons of reviews about these and i just had to put in my 2 cents. This ball works, or should I say this ball helps. It doesn't correct everything. You can still hook and slice the ball, it's just not as pronounced. You can actually see it correct the ball flight. However, unless you are planning on picking up the ball and positioning it in the fairway after your drive, the anti-slicing/hooking technology really doesn't apply after the first shot. It is nice to have that first shot in the fairway. I do loose a little distance, but who cares about 20 yards on a drive. I would rather be in the fairway 20 yards short than not at all. The ball does have normal ball flight if it's not lined up correctly. I can't tell much of a difference in ball flight form the Callaway's i used to hit. They are a little harder for sure. They are hard to stop on the green as well. I do not get a lot of spin, even with the XS ball. Personally, i can't tell much of a difference from the standard model and the XS. They both play about the same. The XS may be a little softer, but it's negligible. It has certainly put some fun back in the game for me. I think the bottom line is that these have improved my confidence which has in turn improved my game all the way around. It's hard to shoot a good round when you are constantly thinking about what your doing wrong. When you can step up to the tee and crank one down the middle, the rest of the hole goes so much better. I was a mid 90's golfer before I started using these. I am now consistently in the 80's. I do not think that is all because of the balls performance, although it helps. I think it is from an all around confidence boost from not having to constantly think about my swing. I just get up there and crush it!! I am hitting much better at the range as well which is a big plus. Try them. You won't be disappointed.

Okay product but doesn't work as well as advertised
I typically come over the top on my swing, especially with a driver and as such have a chronic left to right slice that typically puts the ball about 50+ yard OB on most drives. I thought I'd give these balls a try to see whether or not they would in fact, eliminate 75% of my slice. After playing a few rounds with these balls, I found that they are definately not the miracle cure that I was looking for. I was still able to slice these balls 100+ yards right of my target line and ended up losing most of them in the woods. However, since I was switching back and forth between regular balls and these Polara ones, I did notice that if I was hitting a fade with my regular balls, the Polara ones would fly pretty much straight down the target line. Distance however was a bit less than I was getting out of the regular balls but a ball in play beats a ball in the woods any day. If you typically fade the ball and end up in the rough as opposed to the fairway, this is an excellent product for you. If you commonly slice and put the ball OB, don't expect any miracles as you'll just be losing these relatively expensive balls.

Worked Just as Described!
I am a mid-handicapper with a mild slice (not a banana) that on average is about 20-25 yards off center with an average tee shot total distance of about 230yds (95mph driver swing speed). My slice is consistent, but controllable for the most part. I bought the US Extra Spin and here is what I found through 27 holes with the balls... OFF THE TEE (using the directional arrows correctly) 1. Out of the 27 holes, 21 shots were with a driver, of those 21 driver shots, 18 went absolutely straight with nice loft for an average of 220 yards (so I only lost about 10 yards total distance but was in the fairway with a great approach shot). The other 3 driver shots sliced off center about 20-25 yards, but still in play. On those 3 bad shots my swing felt more slicey and I knew as soon as I hit it that the ball would have ordinarily been a big slice of banana bread and been gone. 2. For my non-driver tee shots it was a mix of high irons and hybrids. All of those shots went dead straight. I also found that with my higher irons (7-9) I was picking up an EXTRA 10-15 yards off the tee. FROM THE FAIRWAY/ROUGH (NOT re-aligning the ball) 1. I did NOT realign the arrows for my non-tee shots, I played them as they lie. I found no difference at all from any of my other shots. Ball felt good and had a consistent flight pattern as any other ball, although, I will say that I don't typically slice other clubs so I can't say how it would correct a slice on subsequent shots if you don't re-align. CHIPPING/SPIN (NOT re-aligning the ball) 1. I felt that the US Extra Spin got nice loft with all of my wedges and had nice spin. 2. From greenside with a wedge, they grabbed the greens nicely, in fact they bit more than the Supersofts and Kirklands I was playing previously. PUTTING (NOT re-aligning the ball) 1. Everybody has their own preference for ball feel on the green. I would say these feel more like my Kirklands than Supersofts, but they still had a nice feel when putting. No realignment was necessary, they played like regular balls. DURABILITY 1. I played the same ball through about 22 holes and had no noticeable damage or change in performance. The only reason I had to grab a second ball to complete 27 holes was because I fatted one short off the fairway into a water hazard. Overall these balls have made my game MUCH more enjoyable and made me so much more confident and relaxed off the tee... so much so that I bought 2 more dozen.

HORRIBLE!!!!!
I read all the reviews, and to be honest I was confused because some people said these balls were the best thing since sliced bread and some said they'd practically rather use a baseball than to hit these. So, I figured I'd try them out. I don't have a BAD slice, but sometimes I do come across the ball (with the club face a bit too open) and fan these ballooning slices out to the right, but when I don't get my hips too far in front of the ball I hit it very long......so I thought even if they took a LITTLE distance off it wouldn't be such a bad thing. So, first teebox, I blasted a ball WAY LEFT. Nerves, has to be. Second shot, straight, but I blocked it out to the right a bit anyway. They didn't feel too bad to hit, but seemed a bit "dead" coming off the face. I was playing in a twosome on a weekday afternoon, so we had the course pretty much to ourselves, so I decided to hit a few of those and a few NXT's. I was ona par 5 with about 210 left to the green. I usually would hit my 7 wood, but I didn't bring it on this particular trip so I thought I would hit a smooth 5 wood (normally a 225-240 club for me. It was then that it really dawned on me just how much that "dead" feeling was really doing. I hit 3 in a row, hit them flush, and not a single one made the green. I threw down my NXT and it hit mid green and bounced over the back. I hit another NXT and it went in the rough to the right of the green. Then, to be fair, I put another Polara down and muscled up on it, to see it trickle up to the front of the green. Thats a good 25-30 yard loss on a 5 wood! Needless to say I put them away and will NEVER be using them again.

Polarama
The Polara golf balls really work! They go straight with little effort when hit from the tee box or long iron. They also go staight when hit with a short iron but you have to make sure the arrow on the ball is facing your target, which means you have to touch the ball on the fairway. So, if you are just playing for fun by yourself, or with friends that are not serious rule followers, then these balls can be alot of fun. I do caution you not to use them all the time, they are illegal in tour and match play, they can create bad habits, like swinging too hard because they tend to always go straight and they are a little expensive for "just for fun" gimmick golf balls. But, if you want to (secretly) impress your boss, or a gloating golf partner that always beats you and lets you know how bad you are, these might be a quick fix to your game. They will actually correct the ball in flight if you tend to slice or hook the ball. You will almost swear there is alien technology inside the ball but I know it is just plain and simple MAGIC! As I said before, do not use them too much, they are very addictive, (fun is addictive and some fun is illegal). So don't use them in serious play, tournaments or when playing to establish your handicap. These balls do fly straight, correct a slice or hook in mid-air and go further because your can hit the ball harder knowing it will staighten itself out. Actually, if you really swing bad, you can hook and slice these balls, but if you are an average to good player, your ball will travel straighter than you ever imagined! (Tip: use a regular ball when on the greens, they do not break well) I will buy more just for the fun of playing off the fairway 99% of the time! Good Job Polara!

straight ball goes straight and it also..........
An intersting play toy on the golf course. It does not conform to USGA Rules so it is illegal to use the ball except during a fun day on the links where you can move and position the ball for every shot. I say that because if you want to hit it straight you must point the dimple pattern in the proper direction or you will hit the ball way off target. I also found that if the ball was positioned to fly straight it would but sometimes (35% of the time) it would oddly knuckle down the fairway. I also found that I lost 10 yards of average distance off my tee shots which the product developer admits to. Did it improve my score? No. Was it fun? Yes. But I am back to using Titleist again.

Worked with woods but not with irons
These are OK and I did notice improved straightness with driver and 3 wood but didn't detect any improvement in straightness when using irons. Interesting concept but I wouldn't buy any more, especially at the price I paid.

Very disappointing
Did not help with my slice at all. Most expensive round of golf I’ve had for years, lost all 3 balls in the first 10 holes. If I could send the balls back for a refund I would sadly I only have the empty box

It is still possible to hook or slice them but nowhere as bad as it it with standard balls
These balls are incredible. It is still possible to hook or slice them but nowhere as bad as it it with standard balls. 90% of shots are now almost arrow straight and it really helps you trust your judgment when choosing which club to use. The only downside to owning these balls is it’s heartbreaking when you lose one either in the rough or water because they’re not cheap!

shot distance attained was very poor.
Tested by 3 players and found to be too hard and unresponsive, shot distance attained was very poor.
