Memories
Komputerbay was quick and accurate with its shipment of memory to me for an older computer that I wanted to get a little more life out of. This computer sits in my garage, and is used for assessing problems with cars and computers I am working in my garage. The new memory works beautifully and was a great buy!

Great Product!!
I did a lot of research prior to purchasing new memory for my older PC. I have a HP Pavillion a220n which is 8 years old. It came with 512MB of DDR SDRAM, 184 pin. All other companies said I could only have 1GB RAM to my PC due to Operating system, motherboard, and chipset restrictions. It is currently running Windows XP 32bit, not the 64bit. I figured I would take a shot and buy the 2GB of RAM, and if nothing else, the PC wouldn't recognize or use the extra memory. I received the memory and it was a cinch to replace. I checked the bios prior to, and after replacement to confirm PC recognition. The PC recognized the memory right away, and my speed is so much better, especially for viewing chat or streaming video. I could have possibly purchased the 333mhz instead of the 266mhz memory, but it's all good. I am pleased with the product nonetheless, and don't want to hassle a return to get the 333hz. I plan on this to be a PC for my son for school work and Facebook.. Forty dollars was an inexpensive repair for an old PC that still runs fine.. I would recommend this upgrade for anyone with an older PC running Windows XP. Thanks Amazon and KomputerBay!

Komputerbay 2GB Desktop Memory Kit
I needed to upgrade my 'senior' desktop running XP Pro to 2GB in order to continue with the scanning of 3000 old slides. The scanner software put the .jpg images into memory before writing them to disk forced me to upgrade my system. The Komputerbay 2GB DDR Kit ordered thru the Amazon Verified Purchase was the most competitive priced set. Not only that, it arrived within the week. The packaging was sturdy. The to memory sticks were of good quality in appearance. I had no issues with my desktop and these two units. My project took three months, so the chances of having an issue with memory were good. No issues at all. I would definitely recommend Komputerbay to friends who need to upgrade their systems. KOMPUTERBAY 2GB (2 x 1GB ) DDR DIMM (184 PIN) 400Mhz PC3200 CL 3.0 DESKTOP MEMORY

Bloowout
I bought this memory as an upgrade to an older computer that was currently running 1 gb of memory. I should have checked first, the computer cannot handle 2GB and as a result I blew out the Mother Board when I installed the 2 gb dimms...and basically had to scrap the computer since the cost of a new mother board was almost the cost of buying a new computer which in fact I did. I can't blame the memory but cant say anything positive either since I never really got to use the memory. The new computer came with 6GB memory which is way more than I need . I ended up giving the memory to a neighbor who I am sure used it since he is a computer repair tech and knows computers inside out. Maybe I should have consulted him first !!

Oddly overprinted ICs, many errors in operation
I was suspicious when I opened the package. The individual ICs were Infineon, but the original crisp manufacturer markings were overprinted with a coarse white labeling. Installed in PC, which POSTed and loaded Windows fine. But it wasn't long before Windows started failing in crazy ways. I shut down and booted Memtest86, which found many memory errors and eventually locked up itself. The old SDRAM, same specs but not as many GB, still works fine. So I returned these.

1 for 2 isn't too bad
I have had my computer for quite a number of years and trying to make it stretch as long as possible. I have 2 memory slots in my computer. I previously had 640 MB of memory (512 and a 128 DIMM). I decided to order the 2 GB (2 x 1GB) from Komputerbay on Amazon, hoping to replace both DIMMs and go to my max, 2 GB. My motherboard manual confirms that it supports up to 2 GB non-ECC 184-pin DIMMs. I received the two 1GB DIMMs. I replaced both my DIMMs with the 2 new ones and the computer would not boot. I switched slots. Still would not boot. Long story short, I realized 1 was good and 1 was bad. I used one of the new 1GB DIMMs in conjunction with my old 512MB DIMM and it worked. I tried the other 1 GB also with the 512MB and it would not work. So, I am currently running on 1.5GB memory. I had the option of returning both for a refund. (I could not just return 1 of them). However, I dreaded going back to 640MB total even if for a few short weeks. Plus, there was a good chance that any replacements I ordered might also have 1 or 2 bad. I decided to just eat the cost and keep 1 of the good DIMMs and not return them. So, I would becareful ordering memory from them. I have ordered lots of "discount" memory online over the years and have had similar experiences where it is a crap shoot if they will work or not. I have never had issues with DIMMs that I bought direct at a local retailer. I guess those are usually higher quality, but also a much higher price.

My computer needed more memory .
The IT worker on my job, found KOMPUTERBAY for me. It arrived on time and the ITguy installed it. After installation, my computer ran so fast it scared me. It is like a brand new computer. Thank-you KOMPUTERBAY. I have been very satisfied with everything I bought from Amazon. LPA
