No Fading after 8 months! Perfect!
These pens are LEGIT. They stand up to daily UV exposure and have not faded at all, unlike every other kind of marker Iโve tried. I will use these exclusively from now on. Thrilled with the performance. Last year my tags labeled with another pen faded by mid summer and couldnโt be read by the end of the season. Not this year. Iโve gotten pretty serious about gardening, I have 12 raised beds, 5 Greenstalk towers, and this year I grew 99% of my plants from seed - over 300 plants in total. Having good labels is essential. If you want to re-use the tags, the marker will break down and can be scrubbed off with rubbing alcohol, but it doesnโt come off as easily as other brands and may leave a little ghosting. I try to minimize using plastic in my garden and re-use when I can. Honestly I will probably just rinse the dirt off the labels for things I plan to grow again next year because they still look brand new thanks to this marker. Attaching a photo of what my plant tags look like today as I tear my garden down at the end of the season. Started plants indoors in March, they went out end of May/beginning of June, and I pulled everything down mid-November. As you can see, no fading!

Great pins!
I love these pens! I will always have at least three in convenient places. Very permanent ink. Fine point, easy to print small letters. Great for labeling outdoor garden tags or ziplock bags. Best ever for marking stained glass before sawing using a water lubricated diamond saw. The ink stays on the glass while water is flowing over it. I remove the ink easily using alcohol. This is the only pen I have ever found that will work for this process. Not even paint markers will work. The pen makes a nice fine line too. Big time saver for glass work.

Works well
Works well but I do wish the tip was finer so I could write longer descriptions. Doesn't rub off but only time will tell if it will last an entire season or multiple seasons.

6 months in, seems fairly good
I have to give these more time to dry than the metallic sharpies I was using, but they write very nicely. The ink has a strong oder to it, like rancid tomatoes. It's nothing that deters me from using them but it's such a distinctive thing that I thought I'd mention it.

Amazing Garden Marker with a Hidden Benefit :)
Am I the last to know about this little garden plant marker secret or have I made a special discovery? ๐ค๐ I was cleaning the soil off of some of my summer plant markers before putting them away for next spring. The soil and mud on them was pretty heavy, so I sprayed some Dawn Powerwash on them as extra muscle... and to my surprise, the Dawn Powerwash took the permanent garden marker right off! I've been so pleased with the Staedtler permanent garden marker...my tags held up all summer in extreme heat and rain, without any fading or smearing! That's why I was shocked to see the ink lifting right off once I sprayed on the Dawn Powerwash! It's like getting all new plant labels for next season for free! ๐ฅฐ Gardening is expensive, so I'll take all the little savings I can find! ๐๐ #DawnPowerwash #Staedtler #gardening #gardenmarker #plantmarkers

Garden marker that does not fade
I was in search of the "best" outdoor marker for nursery purposes that did not fade when used on nursery tags. After researching the options, it appeared that the Staedtler and Artline garden markers were considered the best in the business, so I decided to test them. At the time of purchase the Staedtlers cost $4.99 per marker, while the Artline were much cheaper at $1.42 per marker. In July, 2022, I placed two test plastic tags in a garden bed with the marker name as well as the blackest dot I could write next to the name. The tags were positioned facing directly south (towards the sun). One tag I placed vertically, while the second tag I placed at an angle to receive the most direct sunlight possible (in the attached photo, this is the tag on the right). I left the tags in place for 13 months, and you can see the results. The Artline markers faded dramatically, with the angled tag fading about 75% while the vertical tag faded about 50%. The Staedtler tags faded singnificantly less - with the vertical tag showing almost no fading, and the angled tag showing perhaps 10%. Bottom line: I would recommend the Staedtler as the better option if longevity in field conditions is of utmost concern.

Really worth the $s
These work really well / stand up to UV and donโt fade. Way better than most permanent markers (looking at you sharpie).

perfect for oil change reminder stickers
These work....don't fade like others. I change my oil in my vehicles and use these markers to write on my window stickers....other brands would fade after a few weeks but these are still very readable after the 5000 miles....virtually no fade.

They worked over the winter outdoors!
These are great - the ink stayed sharp on plant labels I had outdoors over the winter. It writes smoothly and dark. You have to store it horizontally as the pen dries out if you don't. If you do, just place it horizontally and it will come back. It is a smidge thick for me in terms of the point but otherwise, a great pen for gardeners.

Lasts long
I used this to mark my golf balls. A regular sharpie would come off before the round was over. This marker the mark lasts on the ball for several rounds. Even if it's wet out. Definitely recommend if you want marks to last a long time.
