I use that type to make polenta because I cannot buy it in any grocery stores

Creamy and tasty!
I've used just about every corn meal that's sold and not one of them can compare to Quaker. Quaker has flavor and a creamy smooth consistency that none of the others have. There are other corn meals with many more reviews than Quaker, and I tried them since they had so many reviews, but they've been a great disappointment. My family is from the Caribbean and they make 'fungi' which is similar to what other cultures make as well. We all give it a different name, but it's basically the same. My Mom even uses okra in the cornmeal and it's just delicious only when we use Quaker. I've made cornbread with Quaker, and it's just excellent. But in the long run it's a matter of taste as there are those who like a finer grain and if you do, that's great because we all have different tastes which is a good thing! But if you like texture, it would be good for you to try it! Who knows, you may just like it!

Watched a cookery program for american corn dogs so thought I would give them a try, could not find it in any of my local shops, and was supprised it was sold on this site but glad it was, very quick delivery. Big tub should make loads, even if I did mess up my first batch.

It can be hard to find good corn meal in normal grocery stores in the UK, so I was pleased with this. Successfully made a few of the dishes I was missing from the US. I used it to make the following, with no issue whatsoever: - hush puppies - cornbread - polenta

Not quite what I expected; it's coarser than I would have wanted, and as such, good for making polenta, but not so good for use on its own to make cakes. It's too crunchy....

Love corn meal. I can usually buy it online in Ireland for €3 so this was overpriced also was not as pictured, I received a Quaker round container not a aunt jemima brand box. Still makes great cornbread though
