I was able to turn up about a 1/4 acre plot in around an hour, only half of which had ever been cultivated. I got a good 4 to 6 inches of penetration, which is fine for my purposes. I might try to take a little deeper next season, but I'm happy for now. This is well made, went together very easily and I had none of the issues with bearings noted in some other reviews. The trick is to take your time, make multiple passes and drop it a notch at a time until you get the depth you're looking for. I spent about an hour removing sticks and rocks from the plot beforehand, which also helped a lot. You also want to make sure you have a SOLID 2" receiver or adapter.
