Good height, stable, etc
Nice product, good design. We originally bought a smaller plastic step. I was very satisfied with it, but it was too low and wouldn't get my son high enough to reach the sink. He simply wasn't old enough yet. So I went looking for something higher, giving him the ability to reach the sink. This was the best one I found. Pretty easy to put together (maybe 15 minutes - 10 screws). Very solid and surprisingly heavy. My son is 2 and he usually needs help to move it....at least so far. There's one "Con" - if you are like us, you will most likely have this in the bathroom, which is where most sinks are located. Bathrooms can often have wet floors, so I was a little concerned my son could slip on this. The step is make of a laminate wood, which hypothetically could get slippery under wet conditions or if he didn't set on it perfectly. Thus, I bought some clear sandpaper like tape, actually a vinyl tape that's rough. That's what I call it anyway. It's made by 3M and I purchased it at Ace Hardware for $3. It's a clear version of the black tape you see on stairs, to give better grip for your footing. With the clear version you can hardly even see it and now I have a piece of mind that he "probably" won't slip even if wet.

Perfect little stool for our 2 year old, looks great & easy to assemble
I bought this stool for my 26 month old son. We are starting the potty training process and we have high toilets and sinks in our bathrooms. I decided on this stool after some research because it was higher than most of the other stools. My husband said it was very easy to assemble. I picked the natural color stool because I was hoping it would hide dirt better, which it has. The stool is very sturdy and light weight. I will be purchasing another stool for our upstairs bathroom is the near future.

Buyer beware, the old sturdy model has been replaced by a cheap flimsy one
I bought one of these a number of years ago, and it was very well constructed from laminated plywood and heavy duty hex fasteners. It fit together perfectly.I needed two more, so I went to buy it again and what arrived was shocking - it was a cheap laminate over MDF copy, but not only was it made from cheap materials, the tolerances, fit and fasteners were terrible. The screws bent by hand! How cheap can you make a screw that it can be bent by hand? The screw holes were out of alignment, and it was a rickety piece of junk when assembled due to the misaligned screw holes, pegs that didn't match the diameter of the holes they were meant for, etc, etc.Don't buy one of these and save yourself the headache!

Great-looking stepstool for high-use bathroom
I love the look of this stool for a great price! It is simple, classic, and very sturdy. It was a breeze to put together and it felt solid as I was doing so. My son got so excited about having his own "seat" his size, he begs to go into the bathroom to sit on the lower step. The second step's height is the right height for a toddler (18mo old) and he can just reach the sink to wash his hands. My only slight concerns are:1) it has no non-skid tabs on the bottom. So far it has been on a vinyl floor and carpet and hasn't skidded at all, but I'm wondering if we'll need to put some non-skid tabs on at some point when it's being used a lot in various rooms. This is minor to me because it's an easy fix.2) The top step has no guard at the back to keep him from slipping off if he steps "too far" forward on the step (or no raised area to let him know he's nearing the edge of the step). This hasn't been an issue so far because I'm always right there with him, but when he's more independent I wonder if he'll need something. This is also minor to me because nothing has happened so far, and I'm not sure if a guard/ridge is necessary as it appears no other stools really have one.Overall, this stool gets good reviews from me. I really like it and it's solved the problem of trying to hold my toddler over the sink while I wash his hands, and he loves it.

stylish sturdy step
I looked for many weeks and am proud to say that I do not think I could have gotten a better step stool for my daughter. We put it together in about 20minutes (not bad with toodler help) and she loves it. In the few weeks we have had it, she has wanted to 'bwash tweth and wush hand'. She is now trying to learn how to carry and move it herself, which is not an easy task for a small one, It is heavy and solid. She has learned there are hand holds (3 of them) and tries and tries to move herself. I am glad it is a bit to heavy for her, I have to 'help' which means I know when she is going to be in the water. I think the height is just right and love the wide base for sturdyness. It is to tall to use to help get into bath and a bit tall for the toilet, but works if put sideways. I would recomment this step stool to anyone who is looking for one.

Great stool, perfect height....just a few problems
I debated giving this only three stars, as it IS a sturdy little step stool. However, there are a few reasons I gave it three stars: 1. The screws it came with were cheap and almost all of them "stripped" so once they were almost screwed in, you couldn't quite get them all the way in. Enough got in tightly that it's (probably?) okay. It's a low enough stool that it's not going to cause too much damage if it gives, but still. Also, they provided a little Allen wrench that I could not have gotten the screws all the way in with. We had to use an electric screwdriver and I had to get my husband to do it. Provide some better quality metal for get screws, please. 2. Glue should have been provide for the dowels in my opinion 3. THIS STOOL WILL SLIP EASILY ON HARD SURFACES. SHOULD ONLY BE USED ON RUGS. Stool should have non slid on the bottom as well as on he treads. That said, I was aware of this prior to purchase because the description was accurate.THE GOOD stuff!! My daughter who is just two, lovvvves this. It's just the right height to get her high enough , if she climbs the second step, to wash her hands at our counter height sinks in the bathroom. She Also likes me to carry it to the living room and she loves to just climb on it. I am really, really glad we bought this. Just wish there was non slip tread on the steps themselves.

Not Great!!
Not great quality. Hard to put together because the dowel spins. A little disappointed.
