sturdy, good addition to gardening belt
Had to order this twice, bec of delay when initial delivery was lost. Good product, seems sturdy enough to last for yrs. I use it on my gardening belt for small sledge hammer to drive stakes. I am sure I will think of other tools to carry using it. Build quality seems strong enough for heavier tool.

Well Made, Large Capacity
This hammer holder has quite a large capacity -- I can't imagine any hammer that you would want to have hanging on your belt not fitting in the large metal loop. I bought this as an adjunct to a leather tool pouch (also from Custom Leathercraft). The tool pouch has a small hammer loop on it, but it's tight with a finish hammer and way too small for a framing hammer. Hence the outboard hammer holder. Luckily the two vertical slots in the leather back of this hammer holder were large enough that I could (barely) squeeze the quick-release snaps of the tool belt through them, in order to add this to the existing belt. In use, this hammer holder tends to move around so that it is directly behind my butt (with the tool pouch on my right side) but that's not horrible. I could slide this around to my left side if it became an issue. Because of the large size of the loop it is very easy to get the hammer in and out -- it does not catch or hang up on the loop. Not much else to say about this product -- it seems to be well made out of decent materials. If you need to add a larger hammer holder to an existing tool belt, this is not a bad way to do it.

The flap that attaches to the belt is kinda flimsy we’ll see how well it does after a while but all in all nice buy for the price
