Children's cartoon favourite travels back to medieval times. Spongebob and the gang travel back in time and get caught up in all manner of medieval mirth. The episode 'Dunces and Dragons,' sees the troops parody the old film 'Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court.' Other episodes include 'Mermaid Man,' 'Patrick Smartypants' and 'Barnacle Boy VI. Review: Amazing!! - Arrived in excellent condition. Review: spongebob goes medieval - another dvd containing various episodes of spongebob squarepants. rather than being a complete season this just pulls several from across the years, although all the ones on this are relatively recent and not from the first two seasons. This is one of those cartoons that can appeal to all ages. It's bright and colourful enough for the kids and it's clever and witty enough - it can break the fourth wall and manage some very clever wordplay - for the grownups. So I have no problem in confessing my love for the show despite being over forty. There are seven episodes on here. the first two are actually a double episode called dunces and dragons, thus it's one long twenty two minute long story rather than the usual complete in eleven minutes one. this involves spongebob and patrick being banged on the head at a medieval theme restaurant, and waking up in medieval times and getting into a fantasy quest there. with lots of medieval versions of familiar looking characters. benefiting from the length it's great fun. and has a very neat little twists that subverts your expectations at the end. there are five more episodes, all running eleven minutes 'selling out' sees mister krabs sell the krusty krab resturant to a corporation. and he and his employees live to regret it. all things get back to normal by the end but it's fun watching how they work out, and there's some fun satire on franchises. 'funny pants' in which squidward makes spongebob think he cant laugh, is the most laugh out loud funny of this batch, and has a deliciously funny ending. 'mermaidman and barnacleboy six: the motion picture' sees spongebob make a movie starring his two favourite geriatric superheroes. the shoot is fun. the end result even funnier. 'enemy in law' sees mister krabs arch enemy plankton start dating mister krabs mother. with hilarious consequences. and in 'patrick smartpants' an accident leaves the usually dimwitted patrick very smart indeed. will this spoil his friendship with spongebob? not the funniest episode but as a look at the value of friendship, very touching. the disc has no subtitles, but language tracks in english french german dutch spanish or portugese. and in the extras 'around the world with spongebob squarepants' shows the title sequence, constantly changing language to show what the international versions are like. there's also a jousting game, in keeping with the dunces and dragons episodes, which involves pressing the arrow keys on your remote control in accordance with the arrows on the screen. there are only three levels but the third can get a bit tricky thanks to time factors, and it's one of those things you try as a one off and then cant stop till you get it right. a fun little dvd all in all

Spongebob squarepants, Lost In Time
This is an exellent dvd for both adults and children. I have always found the spongebob dvds funny and witty, especially the earlier ones. I found the first two part episode very funny, Dunces and Dragons. The seconde episode was witty, 'selling out,' and also funny. My favourite episode is the last one, Patrick smartpants. In this episode Patrick the jelly fish gets hit on the head becomes highly intelligent. It is a laugh out loud episode. If you are having a sad day, watching the little yellow sponge and his friends will do just the trick.
