This L-Glutamine was the first one I tried because I wanted something clean—no additives that could be irritating (especially for a compromised gut). I used it consistently for about 60 days, and that’s when I noticed real, tangible improvement in gut-symptoms I’d been struggling with for a long time. Nothing dramatic overnight, but steady, noticeable progress that actually stuck—which mattered way more to me. I’ve since repurchased it three times, which honestly says everything. I dislike how it comes almost half empty but mostly how it doesn’t really dissolve easy in clean water. After mixing the product with waTer and letting it rest for 17 seconds the L-Glutamine goes all the way to the bottom of the cup like sand it rests on the bottom of the glass, weird; maybe it’s supposed to be this way but I understand that the definition of “dissolve” means “become or cause to become incorporated into a liquid so as to form a solution“ like it doesn’t become one with the water or dissipate after moving it with the spoon it just rests at the bottom like i’ve said. Using it for stomach issues. I will most likely do an update, this is my 3rd time taking it. Btw when you get the L-Glutamine test it for yourself >grab a clear cup and put a teaspoon into 8 ounces (240ml) of water just like the directions say, shake/move with the teaspoon and wait 12-17 seconds you will see the powder rest at the bottom; what mostly bothers me about this “not really dissolving issue” is that i have to drink it almost while maintaining a moving action because if not the products just stays at the bottom and then I have to grab all the small little particles of the product so that it doesn’t go to waste. Update: I feel good, my stomach feels good, I am familiar with placebo and honestly I do not think it’s placebo at all. Just to many details to list, one major one for me is this past 2 years i’ve always had a weird feeling in my stomach like a scar that has never healed it felt like my stomach lining was raw, I really don’t know how to say it. Now my stomach feels like it has gone to a vacation and has slept 8 hours without interruption. I started to feel this way 2- 3 weeks after taking 1 spoon once a day every 2-3 days. Many prefer the teaspoon but I choose to do it this way. Would I recommend this product for people with IBS or some other issue their having with their stomach? Absofreakinlutely!

I started this approximately 2 weeks ago. I did great the first 8 days using this product, however the last few days have been super uncomfortable. My mid back hurts and my stomach bloated with some rib pain. I had a lot of bloating and stomach issues which is why I started taking this regularly. I’m not so sure it’s the product itself as I think it’s re-establishing gut integrity. I feel good overall as it definitely has had positive effects on my energy and sleep, I’m just waiting for the intestinal tract to repair and it could be too soon, we’re in a hurry too often!! As with other modalities, including dietary changes, there is always an adjustment period where the gut has to adapt to the changes. Time will tell. I think it’s rather expensive, but no more than some. I typically take Thorne research products if possible, but the price is really high. I do need a very clean product because I’m so reactive to low quality ingredients, and I am hoping the issues I’m having aren’t from this not being a clean product. I can’t find any real information in regards to where these companies source their ingredients from. For it could be exact suppliers just different marketing per company? Time will tell. I will lower my dose, taking one scoop 2x a day, to half a scoop 2x a day and see if things simmer down. I will update in two weeks Yes, it has a slight bitter aftertaste that you don’t get until it’s in your system. At least for me, and I taste it for hours. Hoping this too clears by down dosing. UPDATE: The after taste dissipated and the other issues cleared up as I have continued to use this. I did down dose, but then went back up to 2 scoops a day. I changed the star from four to five. I do believe this is an excellent product.

L Glutamine has been essential in my health and fitness journey. It has helped with my gut and skin. Very effective especially on an empty stomach. Great value for price.

NOTE: The number of servings listed on the label is misleading. It says one scoop is 5 g, but one scoop is 7.5 g! So if you use " a scoop " you are using more than one serving, and then you will run out faster than you planned. It's inconvenient to have to tap out part of the scoop. They should put a 5 g scoop in the container!

This L-Glutamine has been a game changer for me. I am just about finished with my first jar and I have experienced a huge difference in my gut issues. There is zero taste so I just throw it in my morning oj and drink it down. Research shows how important this amino acid is in supporting a healthy gut and for me I have less bloating, and gas and less pain in my gut. I would say it a very functional and essential amino acid for everyone. The price is great too, at 60 servings per jar, you just can’t beat it.
