Zefal Mirror Spin, 2.3 x 1.57 x 0.39 Inch

Just got this, put it on my road bike and took a ride. Best $16 I've spent in a while. Was easy to install (just look at instructions on back of packaging), nice and secure once installed, easy to adjust and did not get knocked out of position by bumps. Small, unobtrusive and gives me the rearview I need for riding lightly traveled but often narrow paved roads. If you are riding in a high-traffic urban area (so might want a bigger sharper image) or bouncing around on washboard dirt roads may not be as satisfactory.

This mirror is made of glass and is clear to view. There may be some who thinks that it is reflection from a tin can because you need to remove the protective film before usage. The design is good as one can tilt it in many angles for that optimum view. Only problem with this mirror is that it is a bit too small and it uses a flat mirror. I actually bought this mirror to fit into my Strida as it is small and compact but I bought a convex mirror from the car accessories department and mount it over the original flat surface to provide a wider angle of view but yet compact enough for a folding bike.

The mirror is perfect size for me and does what it needs to do. Riding on bike lane and can see if car is coming up on me or somebody else on bike is passing me. Swivels out of the way for storage. Works for below bars or above bar and easy to change with a simple screw to loosen and swivel to where you want it top or bottom.

First I must say that the mirror did not fit my bike exactly, it was a bit too small for the handle bars where it inserted. I was able to secure it, but just had to put that out there. I ride a Trek Lexa S, small frame. Now onto the product in use: I loved that it folded out of the way, but for practical use, it wasn't working for me. The field of view is too small. This might be useful for some, especially if you are on a highly trafficked road and just want to see on-coming cars, but I ride on extremely light traffic roads (no cars on most of my rides) with lots of hills. I tried using the mirror, but it just didnt work for where I was riding. There was a lot of bounce, making it frustrating to look at. I tried to use it to look for riders behind me, but it isn't good for that, either. I ended up removing it from my road bike and will probably put it on my hybrid that I ride on well-traveled paths, at a slower pace.

Great compact mirror! I've used these for years on both road and moutain bikes. Flips up out of the way so it doesn't get broken when not in use.

Perfect size mirror. Not too large but plenty of view. Installed easily and it’s very secure. No shake (I’m on easy to medium gravel). Comes with two expansion sleeves depending on your handlebar inner diameter. I didn’t need them. Great value for the price.

I got two of these mirrors for my bicycle. Here is my experience after 1 year: - When new: the distortion in the "mirrors" was horrible. Noticed that the reflective surface was made of plastic with chrome paint... Dangerous to use when riding in the streets. - After 2 months: the "mirror" started loosing the chrome paint, and tons of dark spots on it. At this point was almost useless. Got worst over time. - After 1 year: After the bicycle being dropped by the wind from its standing position, the impact resulted too hard for this item. As a result the mirror base broke in tons of pieces, not a crack in the plastic, but similar to a charcoal being hit with a hammer. Pulverized...unrepairable. By the way, the bicycle have been always stored in a garage with no direct sun, and temperatures between 65-75F average. With the previous facts can conclude that its quality and materials are not equivalent to the $33 I paid for this item, including shipping. Hope this helps prevent somebody else having my same mistake.

Works okay, very adjustable, but is hard to secure in one spot. I am having to reposition it nearly every ride as just leaning the bike against anything (like the garage wall) completely moves it. I like it much better than round mirror that I tried.

Ich war es leid mich immer umdrehen zu müssen, wenn ich überholen oder abbiegen möchte, da ich nicht zu den Fahrern gehöre, denen ihr Rückraum egal ist. Der Spiegel bietet keine übermässigen Details, aber ist vollkommen ausreichend, um im Rückraum zu erkennen, ob da jemand ist oder angefahren kommt. Da ich den Spiegel nach einer Tour wieder einklappe muss ich ihn bei neuen Touren wieder einstellen, dass ist aber sehr schnell gemacht. Die Montage war auch easy. Bei der Qualität, es ist halt Plastik, aber für den Preis und die Funktion völlig ausreichend und funktionell.

Me veo obligado a comentar una reseña por la relevancia tan importante que tiene este pequeño espejo y a la vez muy grande por la seguridad que ofrece para prevenir posibles accidentes. Se coloca de manera muy sencilla,es plegable y no genera molestias al coger el manillar. Es evidente que podría ser un poco más grande no obstante es un producto de 5 estrellas por la relevancia que tiene para cualquier ciclista,su peso pasa desapercibido y es una marca que siempre ofrece calidad !!! Merece la pena su compra
