Good for the money, but flow-rate control could be better and water leakage
I bought this to try and improve my pourovers. It's incredibly low-cost compared to other alternatives, and the reasons are clear once you take a close look. There is no temperature control, just a food thermometer stuck to the lid. This is actually a reasonable compromise, particularly as my pourovers always start with boiling the water (see James Hoffman on Youtube for reasons why). The challenges to this kettle are two-fold:1) The design seems to allow for water to leak and pool in the base. I think it's either an overflow valve somewhere or the steam hole in the lid. It's not ideal and leads to a messy coffee production area (which makes me unpopular with the rest of the household)2) The spout agitates the water on a slow pour - this means a 250ml pourover either requires quicker pouring than I would like, or a slower pour that upsets the coffee grounds in the filter.Despite these two flaws, it is around 20% of the cost of something similar in a true "gooseneck" style, and is definitely an upgrade from a run-of-the-mill kitchen kettle for pourover coffee.

I'm struggling to turn it on. The button keeps switching off. But pretty decent kettle
