Great collection of songs (total 130) for alto saxophone. Easy enough for beginner/intermediate player.I assume many people want to know what songs are included before deciding whether to buy the book. This is a very nice soft back book of alto saxophone songs, with large pages of clearly readable sized bars of notes. It is not all jammed onto the pages which is nice. Lots of the songs are very popular and sound right. It is a very good value because of this.

I am not crazy about the selection of songs for this book and their use for ME! In fact the selection for alto sax solo music is a very thin pile of music. I am relearning to transpose music for myself and that is giving me more diversity of style/popularity/ and difficultly. This is not a bad book, but I find I just don't use it too much. (you should know that I am a sax player who put his instrument in a closet for 20 years---- it might help you understand my review comments).

This sax music book is done up in large, bold print, making it easy to stay up with when placed in a holder at arms length. The song choices aren't bad either, which why I bought it. It provides the proper notation: you provide the sax and the soul.

This book is fine, but the songs just are not that fun to play. They are technically well done, but the one song that I might actually like to play, sailing, was not done in the right key. It is just too far off to be enjoyable. If you enjoy the songs in the book, this will probably be just fine for you.

Granddaughter is first year with band in high school. She loves the Sax--at first she sounded like a sick moose, but has developed more confidence. She wants to stick with it-- so this book has a great variety of songs to learn over the Summer.

order for my daughter has been playing alto sax for 5 years and she loves this book. it has a variety of music. it was shipped ahead of schedule so it arrived early then it was supposed to.

Wide range of easy (to moderate) to play songs. I wish it came with demos & play along tracks, yet many can be found online. I started buying those that come with that feature after this purchase.
