Awesome Game!
As a firefighter, I've been looking for a good game to play. This game has a bunch of cool rules and took about three times playing to get everything down. My wife and I have been playing this routinely for the last three weeks. Pace is fast but still really enjoyable. Looking forward to playing with more than two players. I am really glad I sprung for the deluxe edition as it was on sale and was the same price as the local stores for the regular version. High quality pieces, great board, and awesome colors! Next I need to buy the deluxe expansion! The deluxe edition has a really nice heavy die for the wind direction. It isn't rolled a ton in the game though so it being heavy makes it feel premium. The fire is really cool looking and the nice bag helps keep all the pieces together. Cards shuffle like ordinary playing cards. Highly recommend!

Bought for Board Game Group Holiday Exchange, great game for all!
I bought this game for a holiday exchange event, but I have played the game and can give insight to it. It'sa light game, like 30 minutes per game whereby each player plays cards from their hand trying to push the ever growing flames towards their opponents and away from themselves. The cards have various abilities to help push the flames or block off areas. It's fun, we enjoy it and I'm excited for whomever opens this gift!

fits a gap in my game collection
i know many people don't like confrontational games where you go after the opposing players (as opposed to just maximizing your own score), and I generally fall in that camp ... but I did want a couple of games like that to add choice and breadth to my collection. this is a good one. pretty easy to learn. surprises during play. pretty pieces. very happy with purchase.

Interesting strategy game with a unique premise!
So first of all, before I nitpick, let me say how happy I am that game designers went to all of the effort to design and test a game, and then produce and sell them. It can't be an easy process, and I think the result here was really good. It's nice to have other options besides "Monopoly", which hasn't changed much in a century. Picking a game theme must be a minefield these days (someone should make a game about that). But Fire Tower has an elegant and sort of passive-aggressive solution that I kind of admire: fire is a primordial force that no one can truly "control"...but you CAN draw or play a chance card, so that the fire burns down your opponent and it's just...a force of nature! Whoops! I do think the game mechanics improve with more players (seems to be more chances to shift the wind direction in a meaningful way, or at least keeps the pace up). On the plus side, among many other positive attributes, during testing even a bright 7 year old could become a devious strategist. So the game is balanced, and interesting enough without being overwhelmingly complex. So, on to the nitpicks: I don't think that wooden purple dots are a very great representations of a fire break. I know that cost has to be limited somewhere, and a firebreak isn't so much a "thing" as an "absence of things", but this should be shown some other way. When you are trying to entertain people with a board game with this kind of niche theme...you need every edge you can find. I think 3D printed pieces would be really cool, and it would be fun to represent different kinds of defenses with different meeples. So for example, fire bombers, smoke jumpers, dozers, and, I dunno, some "rainstorms" from mother nature, that had slightly different defense patterns or attributes? (A rainstorm defense player being able to defend within their own fire tower area would be pretty clutch). And what if it was tied to the color of your fire watch tower or decided by dice roll? It seems that there are enough opportunities to swap hands of cards, that this could work. I haven't purchased the expansion yet, but it seems that the problem of spreading the fire around in more creative ways could be solved with rule changes instead of an expansion. As it sits, players all have the same defensive options as any other player (no unique abilities). This may have also been addressed in the expansion, but I am still discovering the base game mechanics.. Anyway, great effort! Please apply this kind of creative thinking to other types of subjects (even if the underlying game is similar), and I hope it will perform and sell just as well!

Fun for the whole family
Our family of six ranges in age from 15 to 57 and we have all enjoyed numerous games of Fire Tower. It is definitely best played with four players, but is still fun for three or even two players. The game boards and pieces are all very high quality and the orange "flames" really make you feel like there is a fire spreading. It is easy to learn to play, so newbies can get up to speed pretty quickly.

Buy This Game
We buy a new game every year and this board game was a blast! You can play in teams or individually. The game doesn’t take long to play, and just about anyone can learn the strategy needed to win. Several versions included, so it’s a great value for a board game. Highly recommend!
