High Achiever: The Incredible True Story of One Addict's Double Life [Jenkins, Tiffany] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. High Achiever: The Incredible True Story of One Addict's Double Life Review: High Achiever is a must-read for anyone who values real, raw, and redemptive storytelling. - High Achiever: The Incredible True Story of One Addict’s Double Life by Tiffany Jenkins. I've been a longtime follower of Tiffany Jenkins through her hilarious and heartfelt social media presence on Juggling the Jenkins. After years of enjoying her honest and often hilarious content, I finally decided to dive into her first book—and I’m so glad I did. High Achiever is a gripping, honest account of Tiffany’s battle with addiction, the double life she led, and her eventual road to recovery. I’d seen glimpses of her past in her videos and posts, but this book lays it all out with unflinching honesty. It tells the story of how, just after finishing rehab, spiraled back into addiction all while living with her boyfriend—who was, incredibly, a sheriff’s deputy. She recounts the crimes she committed to fuel her addiction: stealing from her partner, pawning his possessions, even selling his firearms to a dealer. Her eventual arrest—by officers she personally knew—was as devastating as it was life-changing. Tiffany spent 120 days in jail and was then transferred to rehab, where she committed fully to turning her life around. The journey she shares is raw and emotional, with some slightly comedic undertones. Her vulnerability and resilience shine through with every chapter, and you can truly feel her transformation as you read. What makes this book even more powerful is how much of Tiffany’s personality comes through. I could imagine her awkward interactions and the unique way she narrates even the most difficult experiences. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything, and that’s what makes her story so impactful—not just for people in recovery, but for anyone who’s faced hardship or self-doubt. I still remember the first video I saw of Tiffany—her struggling through a workout with self-deprecating humor—and I instantly thought, This woman is my spirit animal. Her content has always felt authentic, and this book is no different. With her second book on the horizon (which I’ve already preordered 😊), I’m eager to see what she shares next—especially as she’s hinted at the major life changes she’s experienced since 2020, to which we got a small glimpse in real-time through social media. Watching her continue to grow, prioritize her physical and emotional health, and inspire others makes me even more of a fan. One day, I hope to attend one of her live events! Rating: 5 stars. Tiffany Jenkins is a force, and High Achiever is a must-read for anyone who values real, raw, and redemptive storytelling. Review: **WARNING** Addictive Author Ahead!!! - In the six straight hours that this book held my unwavering attention, I became an addict; the urge and craving to read more from Tiffany Jenkins is almost unbearable. Tiffany Jenkins is by far the most powerful writer I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, and I am an avid reader. This book is REAL. In the six hours from the time I opened this book until the time I read the last word, I laughed, I cried, I became angry, I felt disgust, I experienced hormonal fluctuations (yep, I am keeping it clean), I felt empathy and sympathy, I cheered for and against Tiffany, and by the end, I was left in absolute awe over the brilliance of this book. Tiffany is painfully honest about what she went through to become the awesome person she is today, and her story is skillfully told so that the book is a page-turner. Simply put, this is a beautifully written story of love, heartbreak, addiction, betrayal, friendship, and recovery, all while lending a view to the ugly the insides of our penal and legal systems, wrapped up in a beautifully written mystery/thriller/romance novel. I have never read a 369 page book in one sitting, but I did today. I will not go into detail about the book itself, because I cannot do Tiffany justice because I could never tell her story better than her. I do not care what type book you prefer to read, I assure you this one will not leave you disappointed. I read almost every genre of book, and have read hundreds. This one wins by a landslide!! Go ahead and click that "Buy Now" button, and while you are at it, buy a few more copies for friends and loved ones to save yourself the trouble of having to come back and do it later. I'm going to go try to find my kids now as that movie I put in six hours ago is probably over by now. ;-)

So worth the read!
First of all, judging by certain reviews, I believe if you're not an addict/know an addict, or if you're not struggling with some sort of mental illness, or if you're just not a compassionate person, then this book probably isn't for you. (But you should read it anyway!) Juggling the Jenkins popped up on my FB newsfeed some time or another. I wish I remembered the specific video. Either way, I kept watching her videos and kept laughing. Then the video of her telling her story popped up, I believe she was wearing a red top in this specific video. I'm not an addict, but that video spoke to me. I've struggled with depression as long as I can remember. Apart from addiction I feel as if she's me, not in a weird psycho way, just a "wow, I'm not alone" way. And it's amazing. Several months ago I was watching one of her live videos, and my husband said "hey, do you ever say anything on there to her?" Referring to Tiffany and the comments. "Oh, no way!" He looked at me and said "well you should". For a second I felt lighter, like that would be pretty cool to have the opportunity to have a direct response, but anxiety set in and I didn't know how to explain it to him, but I'm just not comfortable commenting on public posts. Fear, anxiety, paranoia... all that jazz. Point being I love her videos, I relate to them. So I had to give this book a read! Since the price was marked at 9.99 I just downloaded the sample last night. For me $10 is a lot with Christmas around the corner. I flew through the sample, turned to my husband and said "heyyy, can I spend $10" he laughed, he knew, he didn't mind. That was around midnight. I finally put the book down because it was closing in on 3am this morning. I finished it just a while ago, so I read it in two sittings. This book, her story, had me laughing at her awkward responses, so many times I've been in that position. This book had me crying a handful of times too because I was there, some instances being in an empathetic way, but other instances hit really close to home for me. Addiction is all around us. Even if some of us don't see it, it's there. Addiction has been around me my whole life. It's affected my family, family friends, sometimes you can see it, but sometimes you can't. I related to so much of the content, but the most was the memory. For a split second I thought "how can she remember some of this so clearly?" Then I remembered. It's the mental illness. The depression. The guilt. It doesn't let you forget. It won't let you to forget. I think that's why I'm always so tired. Always wanting a nap to forget for a little while. Some reviews criticize her addiction story, only wanting her recovery story, but you have to get through the addiction to reach the recovery. Just like life, you have to get through the bad stuff to appreciate the good stuff. Admitting that I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book makes me feel a bit guilty because that's someone's past, someone reality, it's not here for anyone's amusement, but it didn't amuse me, it just made me feel less alone. It's here to help people and raise awareness, and I believe Tiffany succeeded.

An amazing book! Compelling, emotional, gritty, funny. Tiffany's book took me on a journey of heartache and compassion. The true story of her life with addiction which lead to imprisonment, and ultimately survival is compelling and amazing. Her writing style is such that you travel the journey with her, feeling all the emotion that she puts in to writing this book about her own life. It is an insight into the struggles that addicts have and even having no person experience of this myself, I still felt every step of her journey. I LOVED this book and would highly recommend it. You may also want to note that it is an adult read, Tiffany does not hold back on the language or content which is completely in context but perhaps not suitable for a Teen to read. Be prepared to laugh and cry with Tiffany as she takes you on her journey.

Really well written and interesting story about the authors battle with addiction and journey through life.

Relato muy duro pero realista de cómo una enfermedad como la drogadicción arrasa no solo con el enfermo sino también con aquellos que están cerca. De mis libros favoritos.

I've been following Tiffany for years now and knew parts of her story from some of her videos, but this was such an in depth journey to take reading this. As a recovering addict myself of 4 years, having had 10 years of active addiction myself, I felt all the emotions raw like I was right there with her, because I had felt all of those emotions at some point myself. I read this in 2 days because I found I couldn't put the book down. I would recommend anyone still in active addiction, in any stage of recovery, or anyone who loves an addict to read this book. Honestly , even if your life hasn't been touched by addiction, you should still read it, because it really gives an inside view of how much hold it has on a person , but also how much difference can be made by having the right person/ people with a kind caring open heart can make to another life that is so lost and in despair. Great job Tiff ! I loved every bit of this and hope you write more. I'd love to read a book about your life leading up to this book, and another about after, even tho i know alot of what you post online , but you write so well i feel like I know you personally. You are a wonderful person and you bring a smile to my face with everything you do, thank you for letting us in to such a sensitive time in your life. We do recover. One day at a time . 💕 Signed: Canadian momma of 5, recovering addict , Sarah o' brien

Intriguing story, great writer..I found Tiffany from her blog and was curious to know more. She’s inspirational for anyone, I think, to live life fuller and never give up. I’m not an addict but reading her story has helped me to understand that world just a little bit.
