1yr later update: Despite abuse from a bouncy 110lb Grt Pyrenees, countless drops, drags across concrete/asphalt/sand/dirt/puddles, rain and more the leash is still working perfectly and looks great. I cannot emphasize just how useful and well made this product is. Original review: I bought two of these….a small & large and I highly recommend this product. The small is for my 23lb Grt Pyrenees pup. It’s perfect, size, comfort, durability and usefulness. The large is for a 109lb, bouncy, lizard chasing, playful, 3yr old Grt Pyrenees. After 5 months of constant use the inner mechanism still feels fresh, works perfectly and externally nothing is worn or rusty….not even the rubberized handle lining or the chrome plated clamp. In short the Tug 360 is well conceived, well made, practical, comfortable, durable and weather proof. It easily handles the heft of my 109lb Grt Pyrenees lunging, pulling, surprise lunges, playfulness etc.. There is a caveat to tape leashes….ur baby can chew through them. This is the downside to all retractable/tape leashes. It’s not a manufacturing fault. Think of tape leashes like u would a ribbon on a present, it’s pretty much impossible to tear unless u have a pair of scissors. Now swap out the scissors for a puppy ; ). Luckily the Tug leash comes with a training extension that should endure long enough for the little darling to be trained.

I had this for over a year now. It proven to be strong and reliable. Highly recommend.

I have other retractable leashes for my 8 lb and 13 pound dogs. This one was just too heavy for me (I'm petite and found the thumb mechanism hard to use for small hands. I returned without using and ordered and swivel dual leash that attaches to my existing extendable leash.

Just received today,used once but I absolutely love it.Stylish, comfortable and my dog loves the long length of freedom.5 stars,hands down! Definitely worth it! Don't procrastinate🐕🐕🐕🐕💜💜💜💜

We have a bully which is a small but powerful dog. She chewed up our first leash, but the TUG is holding up well. We've had it for ten months now, and it's still free of teeth marks. The extra lead helps when she pulls at the leash and try to chew it. When she pulls forward, I have to lock the leash to bring her back, and the mechanism is holding up well, even though the dog is surprisingly strong. Next best thing to obedience school! We managed to lose the cap to the dispenser fairly quickly and replaced it with one that came with a supply of bags. This time, I added a thin strip of self-sticking velcro to the bottom of the leash to keep the dispenser from swinging back and forth. -- Good to go!

Our dog is almost five, I wish I had tried one of these years ago. Extends and retracts smoothly and never tangles. Seems sturdy, I’ve dropped it on concrete twice and no damage. The right strength for our 35 pound golden doodle.

Pinky lo utilizó desde el primer día (vídeo). Inmediatamente experimentó un gran sentido de libertad moviéndose a voluntad. A un mes ha desarrollado hábitos: - calcula muy bien el límite de los 4.5 mts, no se jala - se mueve a voluntad pero siempre camina junto a nosotros, nos busca. - las pocas ocasiones que topa y hay jalón inmediatamente viene a nosotros. Excelente calidad del material y del maneral, no se enreda,no se rompe. Lo recomiendo ámpliamente.

Me gustó mucho, es para una husky, la compré talla L y bien, la recomiendo, solo consideren que con el gasto de envío cube de precio, eso sería lo único "malo"
