My cat loves it!
I definitely recommend Sentry Hairball relief. My cat loves it. I have bought another leading brand that comes in 3 different flavors and she didn't like any of them. It was a battle. She loves Sentry and it works really well too. I'm happy and so is my fur baby.

Cats Love it Begrudgingly
Once in their mouth they like it, it's just getting it past those sharp teeth, lol. It stopped the abundant barfing around the house, on the rugs, pillow, in my shoes, etc.

Cats won’t eat it, so have to put it in their mouths. But seems to do job!

CAT LOVES IT + IT WORKS = HAPPY CAT = HAPPY PARENTS
Gracie loves this stuff SO much, she actually considers it a “treat!” For the past 10 years she’s been getting a 1” ribbon of the Malt flavor almost every day. The best you can buy for long-haired cats prone to furballs / constipation. We couldn’t stand to hear her in pain — yowling loudly before throwing-up furballs, wailing in the night when it was too painful (constipation) to use the litter box. I’d cry, wishing there was something we could do to help ease our little girl’s pain. So we went to the vet, and he specifically recommended Petromalt. That day changed our lives forever. Not only did Gracie find a new “treat” that day, but that treat has gone on to prevent and/or relieve 90-95% of the furballs/constipation Gracie had been experiencing on a regular basis. HOW TO FEED: In the beginning we tried the gel-on-paw method, and she’d get really mad at us (dirtying-up her paw with thick goo). So I put a little bit on the side of my finger and … it was love, she lapped it up!!! I later switched to using the bottom of a plastic 1/4 cup - it’s non-stick, easy to clean, and it allowed me to elongate the 1” ribbons [as seen in attached VIDEO]. After squeezing the 1” portion, I’d go back and make it longer/thinner so it’d be easier for her to eat (since it’s kinda thick). We tried many different brands over the years, just to try them, but newer was never any better. Gracie simply LOVES the taste of this stuff, and it’s the only brand that’s been RELIABLE in keeping furballs and/or constipation in-check. She loves it + it works = happy cat = happy pet parents :-)

Works.
I have five cats and whenever I give a pea size amount of this with their wet foods in the evenings, I don’t see hairball throw ups all over the place.

Not cat's favorite.
It does the job all right, but my cat hates it. I'm not sure if the smell turns him off or if it's the stickiness. I'm trying to find a hairball relief formula that makes him happier.

Best hands down!!
My favorite hands down hairball remedy. It’s been around for a long time. I cannot get my cat to take any other one. I put a churru treat on top to mask the paste and she like it right up!! I had a Persian and I used the same one years ago. All the others never worked for me this is the only one the malt favored one because it doesn’t seem like she can taste it!

Wish I had read these reviews before my most recent purchase
I too have been giving Petromalt malt flavor hairball remedy to my cats for years. This is why I did not scroll down to read any of the reviews when I made my last purchase of 2 family size tubes a month or so ago. My cats loved this stuff and received it daily after a good comb-out. They always looked forward to it. One of them sampled (the new formula)and was immediatly discusted by it. He pulled his mouth away from the tube and strings of the stuff hung down from his mouth. Of course he shook his head to try and get the stuff off of his mouth and it flung everywhere. Now I was discusted by it. It is very sticky and runny now. The other cat wouldn't even touch it. Just removing the cap causes strings of the stuff to stretch between the cap and the tube. Of course, I compared the ingredients to my spent tube of the product and am appalled by the addtion of corn syrup. Luckily I was able to obtain 8 small tubes of the original formula by visiting 2 Petcos in my area. But I paid the price for it! This product is twice the price (or more) if you do not buy it on Amazon. This is no longer an issue since I won't buy it again. I initially tried to email my complaints to Sentry but the email form they provide on their website does not allow enough characters to say what needed to be said. It also didn't tell me how many characters I needed to delete to be within the maximum character count. So I wasted plenty of time trying to edit my complaint to fit their form. I was not successful in this. They also didn't provide their email address on the website so that I could email them using my own email provider. So, I experienced further frustration and inconvience at this company's hand by having to contact them either via phone or the good ol USPS. I chose the USPS and received a response within 2 weeks. They offered coupons for their products or a refund of my purchase with instructions on how to obtain either.
