Wonderful product to work with if you want a pre-made version
I've been decorating cakes for fun for many years now but only recently started using chocolate modeling paste. I wanted to try a pre-made version to learn what the consistency should be before I try to make it from scratch. I first made my kids' dragon birthday cake with the white chocolate which blended together beautifully. The scales would have hid any imperfections but there really weren't any as simply rubbing adjoining pieces melded them together seamlessly. I painted the cake with gel food dye and vodka (the alcohol evaporates off) which probably isn't the best option for this but worked well enough as long as you do not refrigerate the cake after decorating. I loved the ease of working with this modeling paste the first time so I also made a cake for my sister using the black color. This one seemed a little harder to knead and much more finicky when it came to blending. The shape and cartoonish style of her beetle cake were far less forgiving and the black modeling paste just didn't blend together seamlessly. It took quite some time to cover this cake decently but it eventually got there. I've been pleased with the results I've gotten using this product but in the future I will try to stick to the white color if possible as it was wonderful to work with. It is so much easier, more versatile, and tastier than the fondant I normally use to cover cakes. If you like to sculpt cakes this is a great option. Note: 1. Do not refrigerate the cake after decorating with modeling paste to avoid it sweating. Put it into a cake box or any cardboard box and store in a cool dry place out of dirct sunlight until it's time to serve. I refrigerate leftovers but that's up to your judgement. 2. Certain pieces of the cakes in my photos are gumpaste, fondant, and gelatin.

Pretty perfect!
Incredibly easy to use, does not harden stiff so it makes the design easy to rework days later, and taste great! I have made my own in the past and it was fine but found that Satin Ice is much better. Very bright white! I have yet to use liquid or gel color with it but the dry powder did well.

Great fondant
This chocolate modeling fondant is great for molding items for a cake. One thing that I found out is that when molding the chocolate into something tall, when it dries it doesn’t really get hard enough for the item to stand up. I used this chocolate to make the items on the attached cake, but after letting the items dry for almost a week, the items never did get hard, they were still pliable. I usually use regular fondant to mold items for cakes that I make but decided to use this type of chocolate instead. That was the only downside to it. Otherwise, the chocolate fondant tastes great and everyone loved it.

Good, but messy
Worked well, instructions helpful. Not sure why the inner bag isn't sealed to contain melted oils- there was hardened coco butter everywhere - in the tub outside of the bag, all over the bag... quite a mess

I LOVE this stuff
I'm a first timer using this stuff. My goal was to create custom, edible toppers for baby shower cupcakes. I have to say, this stuff is SO easy to use. I wish all craft mediums were so user friendly. I was also surprised by how good it tastes. I thought it would either be overly sweet, or weird tasting, but it was the perfect little yummy cake topper.

I recently used the Satin Ice ChocoPan Bright White Modeling Chocolate, and it was fantastic. The texture is smooth and pliable, making it easy to work with for detailed decorations and sculpting. It’s very functional with the variety of decoration that can be made with it. The bright white color is perfect for creating a clean, professional look on cakes and other desserts. It also tastes great, adding a delicious flavor to my creations. Highly recommend this modeling chocolate for both beginners and experienced bakers!

Awesome for chocolate figures !
As a cottage baker, I LOVE this chocolate for making cake toppers and other figures ! Remains malleable if properly sealed after opening which is a MUST ! Have bought in the past and will continue to buy in the future :)
