The microphone quality is about on par with my iMicro SP-IMTP331 Headset With Microphone which I bought four years ago for $5. I tested this on a few different computers and the results were all the same. I originally got the SH350 headset as part of a call center job and was hoping to get a bit more use out of it with this cable. We used a different adapter cable at the call center, one which had a telephone jack and the quality was excellent so I had high hopes for this. While the cable works well with the headset, it does not produce stereo output. The cable also arrived quite a bit late, but that is likely due to the holiday rush. It is nice to be able to quickly switch between the IP phone and the PC using the quick disconnect.
