Awesome change in visibility.
I wish I had saved some video from my “super slow” rides home in the dark prior to this. I have to say, I installed it yesterday and was excited to take it out after it got dark. Unfortunately, when I took it out, it was pathetic. I couldn’t see a thing. I was actually considering putting my old bulb back in, but then I started thinking about checking the adjustment, different bulbs=different adjustment, so I adjusted the headlight setting while watching YouTube videos and ........bam......... that thing looks so good now it makes me tear up a little. The bright setting doesn’t do as much as I thought it might, but it does fill in the gaps that the low beam might have. Awesome purchase after all!!! I love it.

Good for city (read: roads where you won't use high beam) riding
As others have mentioned, overall brightness is good, but high beam is lacking. First of all, this is an easy bulb to install, does not require a load balancer or any sort of adapter/extra wiring... Just plug and play 👍 Next up, the low beam (consisting of 2 of the 3 LEDs that make up the bulb) are very bright and would be considered daylight as opposed to the more traditional warm white or the incandescent bulbs 👍 Now onto the high beam. And this is where things get interesting as far as how the bulb operates. In traditional, incandescent, two filament bulbs, the low beam would turn off and the high beam would turn on. In this case, the 3rd LED is illuminated without the 2 "low beam" LEDs shutting off. This does two things - firstly, it gives a very weak high beam on top of the already very bright low beam (which in areas where you need a high beam will be sorely lacking); and secondly, since you now have 3 LEDs sharing the 12v input, the low beam LEDs actually get a little dimmer. For daytime riding, or areas where the streets are lit (and you aren't supposed to use your high beams anyway) it is a good headlight. But if you need a good high beam, I wouldn't recommend it. I bought this primarily because it is very unlikely that I will be doing any night riding, especially anywhere that I'll need a high beam, for the next year or two, and because it is reasonably priced in comparison to other LED bulbs out there

Just not bright enough
So I bought this for a yamaha tw200 motorcycle. I'll start with the positives. It seems to be well made. I certainly had no problems with build quality and the heat sink around the base looks nicely made and somewhat heavy. The LEDs all work and are bright. As far as output, it is slightly brighter than my stock incandescent bulb however the high beam is basically no different that the low beam. The biggest negative I have is that it isnt that much brighter than stock. Not enough to warrant me leaving it in and having basically no high beam. Other than that my only other problem with it is that my headlight housing has a small tab on the inside that wouldnt let the bulb seat in the housing and I'm definitely not going to go grinding away at my headlight housing so I took a dremel and ground two of the heat sink fins down and that let the tab slide into the slot I made in the heatsink. It definitely works and considering it is mildly brighter than stock I really cant complain to much considering the only other issue I ran into was related to the bike and not the bulb. Still overall I wouldnt reccomend this bulb because it just isnt that much brighter than stock incandescent.

Bright light without the heat. Plug-n-play
Nice and bright without the heat! Picture of a halogen and LED on low beam. Halogen cooked the finish off of some of the internal housing. This is on a v65 Sabre. I regularly ride to work in the dark and needed better lighting. This does the trick.
