Great chain upgrade for an ls1 block.
I had to order the Mellings damper bracket since the ls1 blocks weren’t tapped for a damper. Easy install bolts onto camshaft retainer plate. Which I changed as well. This Ls2 chain is thicker and stronger than the stock ls1. Torqued all bolts to spec and used loctite. So overall great product.

Good so far.
Swapped out my wore out chain and gears with this setup and it has been working great so far. Instal was Straight forward but for my truck (04 suburban 2500 6.0 4x4 with lq4) the chain guide will not be used as there were no holes drilled for this in the factory block.
