Pletscher Standard Kickstand

This is the product I've been looking for. It's excellent. I'm ordering one more right now.

This side stand is made of solid quality alloy, not light alloy or tubing, well designed and easy to fit. I ordered the rubber foot to go with the kickstand at the same time, I was given 2 delivery dates. There was a bit of a mix up and both the seller an d Amazon sorted it out very promptly and professionally. I highly recommend the kickstand with rubber foot and certainly this seller (check out the shop for other stuff) and Amazon. If anyone out there is looking for a good quality stand this in my opinion is the only one.

Absolutely impossible to fit due to the HUGE industrial size bolt that would better be suitable for an old Land Rover. Even the bracket is big and clunky. Might be fine if you have an old 1970s bike otherwise forget it.

Excellent kickstand discovered the secret is to cut off bits at a time so you get get right. Would recommend it to anyone.

Fits easily. I ended up buying two for my kids bikes. Fed up of them throwing them on the floor. Easy to use and sturdy, if cut right.

I bought a cheap Chinese brand bolt on kickstand for my commuter bike. It broke the very fist time I used it and damaged my handlebars. I searched online for something that looked more sturdy but low cost, and stumbled across the Pletscher Standard Bottom Bracket Mounted Kickstand. It's great! Extremely sturdy holding up my bike, and very well secured to the bracket via the mounting system. The 2 negative aspects - it is non-adjustable; so you have to saw it down to size (I imagine there are no returns after you have done so). There are suggested markings for wheel size but I ended up sawing a bit at a time until I got the support I wanted which wasn't quite at the recommended line. That said, being non-adjustable there is no adjustment bolt etc to break. Secondly, there is no rubber foot supplied, instead you have to buy this separately. I've no idea why this isn't just included as I would consider it pretty essential, using the rubber grip is a massive improvement. Negative points aside - this is the best kickstand I have found and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Easy to fit, not sure if all bikes the same for stands but the very similar to original for fitting. Easy to cut with hacksaw (used full size but doable with junior). To two cuts as played safe with length. Very sturdy and well made. Spring mechanism contained in body making it a slimline neat design. Buy rubber end cap!
