I was told our pigs are now geriatric. They seem happy and healthy with no issues at almost 6. I hope they live a lot longer so I'm trying to give them all the good stuff. Lots of organic veggies, RO water, supplements and this Oxbow senior guinea pig food. I did give them the organic Oxbow the first part of their lives and still mix that into the senior food. They run around, demand all the stuff all the time and have tons of energy so something is working for them. They do seem to really love the Senior nuggets for some reason. They also love foraging foods and herbs and wheatgrass so I give them those too.

I've been using this guinea pig food for a little while now and I couldn't be happier with it. This food checks all the boxes for nutrition, quality and overall pet satisfaction. I love that it's made with Timothy Hay and my guinea pig goes absolutely crazy for this food. My Guinea Pig loves this food a lot more than his hay. Both form Oxbow. Oxbow hay is also very high quality, though expensive; it is the best food you can give to your pig to live longer. 10.10

I get this every few months for my pigs! They love it so much and it makes me feel better that I’m not feeding the piggies pellets with too many extra chemicals and dyes in them. I appreciate having the large size so I don’t have to keep ordering as often. Every time I open the bag, my pigs start squeaking like mad!

Oxbow is our go-to brand when buying treats for our little piggies. They love these and we feel like the brand is safe for them. They actually smell pretty good and you can easily break them in half or thirds if you feel they are too much for your piggy. The price is not bad and on Amazon I usually get them more reasonable than I can find locally.

Si estás empezando en el mundo de las cobayas, esto es para ti. Y si llevas un tiempo y dudas si cambiar tu pienso habitual, también es para ti. En cualquiera de las opciones, hazlo, cambia a este. No me pagan creerme jajajaj pero si me fio muchísimo de mi veterinaria de exóticos, una excelente profesional que es súper cariñosa y dedicada con estos animalitos. Y he investigado muchísimo personalmente, llego siempre a la misma conclusión, este es el mejor. Yo ya hice el cambio antes de conocerla, y cuando me preguntó sobre la rutina de mis cobayas y como eran sus cuidados, se quedó asombrada cuando le dije que usaba este, literalmente me dijo: es el Brad Pitt de los piensos. Nunca me olvidaré de eso jajajaja Obviamente hay que combinarlo con una buena dieta, ejercicio, un buen recinto, heno de calidad, sus revisiones. Pero creerme que con solo hacer el cambio vuestros animalitos lo notarán muchísimo, es más caro pero es la mejor inversión. Lo notaréis ahora y a largo plazo, su vida vale mucho y literalmente esto les puede hacer una gran diferencia. Mi veterinaria sigue buscando conseguirlo para que sea más accesible en las tiendas, y aunque ella se fastidie con las ventas de lo que tienen en la clínica, siempre recomienda que sigamos comprando este aunque no sea a ella. Solo un hospital de exóticos lo vende en mi zona (He vivivido en varios sitios de España y es la primera vez que lo veo en físico, eso es mucho decir). El resto es imposible a no ser que lo pidas en Amazon, en nuestra zona. Con todo esto, espero que os ayude, nuestra humilde experiencia es que es una de las mejores decisiones que tomamos nosotros para nuestros peques, que al fin y al cabo son parte de la familia.

My three baby piggies love this stuff. They were initially fed adult pellets but when offered these instead, they switched quickly. I think they struggled with the adult pellet because they were much bigger. These are small pellets and they don't eat much anyway so this will last them a very long time.
