Not compatible with thunderbolt/Windows 11 Lenovo laptops
I purchased this directly from Lenovo for use on a new laptop that does not have an ethernet port. It does not work, as the device manager continuously cycles in a search despite having the newest drivers installed from Lenovo. A factory technician serviced the unit under warranty, and could not resolve the problem, going as far as replacing the motherboard! The thunderbolt/USB-c ports simply are not backward compatible to this USB-c device, period, in Windows 11. It works fine on earlier Lenovo Windows 10 computers, and even the Win 11 when plugged into a USB-c to USB port via an adapter. Ridiculous.

Poor performance compared to other less expensive choices.
Recently upgraded my LT from Lenovo E595 (5 year old, ryzen 5) to Lenovo ideapad 5i with intel ultra 9 CPU. New LT doesn't have wired enet port, but had two USB3 ports, one is thunderbold 4. Using free test SW Totusoft LAN speed test. Moves 1MB file from PC DRAM to remote NAS and reads same file. E596: R774Mbps, W578Mbps. Using this lenovo USBC to enet adapter and the 5i connected to USBC(3) or USBC(TB4), R587Mbs, W317Mbs. Bought a $12, 2.5Gbs adapter on amazon, 5i same USB ports: R713Mbs, W495Mbs.

Perfect for sketchy Wi-Fi
I have business class Wi-Fi and ever since the pandemic, zoom meetings and Wi-Fi in general became spotty. Installed this adapter and a hardwire line to my laptop and almost never have issues now.
