Panasonic Link2Cell Bluetooth KX-TGE274S 4 Handsets Corldess Phone with Large Keypad, Silver

This phone seems to do everything you would ever want if you take the time to figure out how. It comes with a 10 page "Quick Guide" and a 96 page "Operating Instructions" book. If you are the kind of person like me who thinks you can usually figure things out on your own without needing the instruction book, you will be wrong with this device. There are hundreds of features and settings, and if you want to get the most out of this device, you will likely be referring to the instructions a lot in the first week or two. My biggest criticism so far is the index in the back of the instructions is WAY too short. It is often difficult to find the page you are looking for. The index needs to have about 3 times the number of entries than it does now. Most settings apply to the entire system, but some apply to an individual handset. It is not always easy to know which. Having said all that, I keep finding more thinks I like as time goes on. I started out by connecting a land line, pairing 2 Android cell phones and a Bluetooth headset. If you have paired other Bluetooth devices before, this is no big deal. If not, you may have to spend a little time to learn the one time process. The Bluetooth phones have to be within reasonable range of the base station. When I tried it at about 150 feet, the base station still said it had communications, but the signal was breaking up in actual use. It worked perfectly fine one floor and two rooms away. There is an option to suppress the first ring so that it can get the caller ID and see if it is on the internal blocked call list. This is great if you use NOMOROBO, a free service that blocks spam calls after the first ring. We get two or three of these a day and now we don't have to hear them. There is an option to copy your cell phone caller list into the Panasonic. I somehow managed to screw this up and only got half of my list. Maybe it was my fault, not sure. My list is not that big, so I just added the rest manually, and edited entries to get the last name first. The only feature I'm wishing it had was the ability to plug a hard wired headset into the base station. You can plug headsets into the handsets, but access is awkward and you don't always want it connected when you are carrying it with you. It looks like I will continue to find additional features I can make use of as time goes by. I would highly recommend this phone system to others.

I purchased this set refurbished from amazon, just like I did in 2003 for their current model with identical features to this. I replaced that one because the batteries from panasonic for 5 headsets were expensive and after trying the aftermarket ones i found they only lasted about a year. Even refurbished (the ones I received are flawless) the handsets exceed any other brand I have ever been forced to purchase for work or used at someones house or talking to someone on those other brands. The call quality is excellent and the feature that connects the cellphone to the panasonic system is incredibly useful. I didnt purchase them for that feature but I dont think I would go without it now. The bluetooth stays connected better than any bluetooth headset I own. I keep my cell phone in my bedroom and it connects to the base in the kitchen just fine. I can be in another part of the house and not miss a call or text and dont have to drag my phone around. Even out in the barn where we have one of the handsets plugged in dont have to make sure my phone is in my pocket and dont have to worry about getting chicken poop on it when answering a call. lol I work from home so the silent mode settings are a bonus, I dont have to turn off the ringer on every phone within range of hearing in my office and possibly miss calls later in the day. I read a few other reviews and would like to provide some additional information. I have a Note 5 and the bluetooth connection does not affect my battery life. I work from home so my cell stays connected and off the charger all day and night. I still only charge my cell once every 3 days. THE FLASHING BEACON ON THE TOP OF THE PHONE**** TO TURN IT OFF You can turn off the flashing light on the phone. Page 17 the instructions say to press menu > #278 then uncheck everything > save > off I dont have battery life issues like someone else mentioned but in the bedroom its a bit like an active landing strip with the bright light blinking on and off. My old panasonics had a tiny little light that was not annoying.

This is a good phone and since it has gotten a lot of reviews, i'll keep mine short: Pros: 1. Clear display, big buttons 2. Caller ID announcement - i did not think i would care for it, but it actually is pretty handy and the pronunciation of the names is acceptable and clear enough to understand. 3. Lots of the kind of features you expect for a modern phone including contact groups with different rings, etc. 4. Call blocking including blocking of no caller ID and option to suppress ring for blocked calls or let it ring once Cons: 1. Cannot block a number directly from the caller ID list. That makes no sense! i can add a caller ID to my contacts from this list: why can't i block it? The phone forces you to enter manually any number you want blocked . 2. Contacts can only have one number. so if you have multiple numbers for a given contact you have to create multiple contacts and add "cell" or "home" at the end of their name. That's pretty bad for a modern phone. It is made worse by the fact that the max number of characters for a contact name is pretty small. Makes me wonder how it handles importing contacts from a cell phone. I have not use the link2cell feature yet, so i have no comments on it. I am hoping that it will let me block no caller ID calls to my cell phone since my cell does not support this. I'll update this review once i've figured out whether i can do this or not.

This seems to be the ultimate evolution of a good home phone. It integrates, via Bluetooth, your cell phone -- so you can leave the cell phone hooked to the charger while you're using the Panasonic KX to talk. I have an iPhone 5s, and I love it, but I don't like talking on it if I don't have to. Having this phone to use instead of my cell phone when I'm home is nearly reason enough to buy the KX. Setting up an address book is incredibly simple and convenient. All you have to do is choose the address book setting, then import, and every number on your cell phone is seamlessly transferred to your home phone. The sound is excellent, so good, in fact, that a friend commented, "Hey, you got a new phone!" I can't recall anyone ever having said that before, so the sound must be demonstrably superior on the other end. One of the wonderful things about using VOIP (cable phone) is the ability to get your messages online. While this is often convenient, it is much less so when you have one home phone number but live with another person or persons. If you get a message emailed to you, you have to forward it to the recipient if the recipient isn't you -- and that person might not check their email for a while. I like the option of having a home answering machine. This one has an external speaker so you can choose to have it played aloud or via phone. The feel of this phone is absolutely rock solid. It has weight. It feels like it's going to last longer than the cheapo sets from another manufacturer I've been buying every 10 months. This one is a keeper.

I have always used Panasonic for my Land Lines.(this is PROBABLY my 4th) I needed to upgrade as I had a Panasonic phone system for 4-5 years. After investigating for the best phone for my needs (Land Line, Business, personal), this phone came up on several review pages. (It also happened to be a Panasonic) Very happy with the range, business use, style, capabilities of phone system. Does a little more than the previous Panasonic's I have owned, I am thinking that is based on the upgrades, and it has a little more detail in the features. A few more steps involved due to security(?). Works great for our company use; Forwarding calls to cell, Bluetooth for cell phone, Call waiting, ID, Call blocking- NO RINGS on incoming calls! The last Panasonic rang once showing the caller was blocked. ALWAYS an advertiser, Voice Mail has more room for messages, easy and adaptable to use, as stated; looks good. I would recommend this phone to anyone that has a home office or anyone with a home that is large in square footage for range use. It has many features that I haven't even looked at or used as yet.

Full disclosure - I returned this item within 24 hours of putting it into service so this review is mainly about the unit's sound quality - based on a land line connection. The sound quality was terrible and totally unacceptable.. I was replacing an older Panasonic 5.8 Ghz KX-TG5576 which was a solid performer for years. Declining battery life in the old handsets was the reason for replacing it. The feature rich KX-TGE247S, the Panasonic brand and decent reviews led me to pick and purchase this system. After delaying the switch over for a couple of days after scanning the lengthy user manual, I installed it with just the basics, charging the handsets for the recommended 7 hrs initially, setting an answering machine message, making sure the handsets all connected to the base station etc. then we left the house for a few hours. I never got around to really testing the Bluetooth components beyond linking to me cell phone which worked fine. Anyway, When we returned the message light was showing 1 message, which I proceeded to play. While the message's diction from the caller was fairly understandable, I didn't recognize the voice. I thought it might be my wife's sister, but wasn't sure, and played it again. Still not sure but based on the content of the message, to me it was clearly our daughter. My wife listened to it separately and had the same experience as being uncertain who had called. She even checked the caller ID history for the message TO FIND OUT WHO IT WAS that had called.mwe never had that experience with the older Panasonic when the caller was someone close to us like a child or extended family member. So when we called our daughter back we were both stuck by how "tin like" a.k.a tinny the sound quality was that we were hearing. It did sound minutely better by using the phone's "NR" noise reduction feature, but not as good as the older Panasonic, and overall still quite "tinny". Plus, reading the manual, the NR feature takes the phone out of "ECO" mode, which decreases battery life. So at that point it was clear to me (sic) that the phone had to go back. One final negative just for the heck of it. I charged all 4 handsets overnight to give them the minimum 7 hour charge time. I then had them on the counter out of the Chargers for another day brfore I got around to connecting the new device. In the intervening night I started to hear an unknown electroic beeping somewhere in the house, which I disregarded after making sure it wasn't the CO detector. When I got up the next morning and went to install the new phone, ALL 4 HANDSETS WERE DEAD. So while I had to repeat the charging step again, it also raised serious concerns about the battery life for this set. I mean less than 24 hours of standby time without using ANY talk time seems just totally stupid wrong. So once the voice quality issue was apparent, the phones went back within a few hours.

From time to time, it will not give me a dial tone because it's looking for a channel or something. Now days not too many people have a land line. We still keep ours because our phone number is on everything. This is a good phone. We've always bought Panasonic. I like this model because it has the find feature, and intercom. With Alexa now, you really don't use the intercom feature, but it's nice to have. I also like how you can listen to your messages from the handset. The answering message is good. It is easy to work, and the messages stay on after you've listened to them, unless you delete it. The speaker phone on both the handset and answer machine base work really well too. The phone has pretty decent range, and overall it's a good value and you get what you pay for with this set. Has good caller ID and missed call features too, so you can bring it up and dial back from those numbers. Different ring tones, and easy to follow volume control and time and date settings etc. I like that it's white, because it gives it a chique look.

I needed to replace a traditional desk unit that was getting glitchy. I have one land line left, and I use it for home office business purposes - meetings, interviews, and other situations where a cellular connection is too noisy or unreliable. This unit sounds as good as the old desk unit, particularly on speaker phone. I was surprised - I didn't expect such clarity on wireless handsets, and the speaker phone is even clearer than the old desk phone. Having the extra handsets also means I don't have to go running to my office to answer the desk phone. I keep one by the bed and one in the kitchen now, and I'm sure the one by the bed is going to be a nice option when someone calls me early on a cold morning. It's painless to set up and use. The buttons are large and clear. I also like the locator function to track down the handset when I leave it on a shelf somewhere. I wanted to buy another desk phone, but from the reviews, they are all unreliable and cheap quality. This wasn't much more, and combines quality with some nice additional functionality. I have not tried the cell phone integration. Since our mobile phones are all smartphones, I'm not sure I would like using the mobile line on a device like this. I might try it at some point to see, but that's not really why I got it, so I'm in no hurry.

We had an old Panasonic wireless phone system that finally started to have issues after 10 years of use. Not bad. So I decided on this newer package from Panasonic. We only use the main unit and one remote dock, so we kept the other 2 units put away as backups. Sound clarity as the same as our previous phone system. We enabled N/R "noise/reduction".\ The volume levels are definitely clear and loud. I love the ZZZ option, auto ring off from say 9:30pm to on again at 7am. You can set the times to whatever you wish. Blutooth option is nice and can detect / use to cell phones. If your phone system is way too quite, even after turning up the volume, could just be a defective unit, return and get another one. Electronics today are not build to "J - Standard" as much anymore to save costs, which means they don't last nearly as long anymore.

excellent one with top of range features. with the Panasonic range extender and additional two more set its the best cordless phone to use with one landline and two connected bluetooth cellphones . People can mail me incase they have any doubts on the system.

Next generation wireless to replace my old DECT system. Good quality, easy to use. Displays are a good size and easy to read for old eyes that do not focus so easily at close distance, keys are a good size and have a solid feel. Sound quality on both transmission and reception is excellent and range appears to be no problem in our small back split. We use the service provider voicemail and so do not use the integrated answering machine. Added features for integration with mobile phones are cool but I decided not to use as the spousal unit who is the primary user was getting confused.

Awesome product and should go for it. Awesome Seller among all the other sellers in the Amazon market place. I would highly recommend.
