Good tool to teach children that there is more than one word to describe something. The treatment of over-used words such as 'nice' is well done. Examples of usage of words is really useful.

I liked that it was a dictionary with a thesaurus, and I found it very useful. I recommend this book to those whose second language is English. Thesaurus provides a broader vocabulary learning experience, and this book offers this with an easy and engaging learning method.

子供用にと思って買ったので自分で使うつもりは毛頭ありませんでした。 子供に渡す前にどんな内容なのか取り敢えず確かめておこうと何気なくパラパラとページをめくっていたところ、カラスの群れの絵とともに件の「A murder of crows.」という文字が目に飛び込んできたので「えっ？なに？」と驚いた次第です。（笑） 鳥の群れは「Flock of〜」じゃん、と覚えてから久しいのですが、カラスの場合は「A murder of crows.」という表現もあるということを恥ずかしながらこの本で初めて知りました・・・。（もちろん「Flock of crows.」でも構わないのですが） 自分が如何に辞書を読み込んでなかったかということを思い知らされましたが、ネイティヴの児童向け学習書は思わぬ穴を教えてくれるので勉強になります。 恥ずかしながら私は通訳案内士（英語）の免許を持っていますが、ノンネイティヴにとって多言語の習得にゴールというものはありませんね・・・。（笑） だから語学を学ぶのは楽しいですし、やり甲斐があります。 子供から大人まで幅広く楽しく学べるお薦めの辞書であります。
