Great for the upper back
In other reviews the mini hooks don't get enough credit. I have a ton of tension in my upper back and shoulder thanks to some misalignment issues. The chiropractor has called my upper back a beast. I tried the mini hook to work some tension out of my upper back along with my shoulder. I'm overweight and tall (5'10) and this worked amazingly well. It won't go any lower than my shoulder but dang it does the job. I felt like a million bucks after this did some work on my shoulder. The knob can rotate with one small nub on one side and a longer one on the other. It holds well working great on the tissue on my shoulder. The price being under $15 just makes this so much more amazing.

Great tool!
One of my coworkers had this at work and I tried using it a few times. By the 3rd or 4th time I got the hang of it and decided I needed one for myself. It really works the knots out of your back and neck. It’s very relaxing. Easy to use, light, portable and convenient. Didn’t realize how tight my back was from daily exercise and this really did numbers for me! Minus one star for the “width”. I am not at all overweight but I am almost 6 feet tall so I am not teeny tiny and it doesn’t fit well around my chest area. Wish it was a little wider or adjustable for that purpose.

Fantastic for those stubborn shoulder knots!
I was a bit hesitant due to the price but this tool is very sturdy! It’s perfect for reaching muscle knots. I got it specifically for my shoulders but it would be good for a lot of different areas. It’s sturdy enough to grip and the shape makes it easy to use.

Worked great until it broke
Broke while using after a month. Its a shame because it had the best knob for massaging my neck and shoulder.

Depends on what you are looking for...
This is my second one after someone broke mine accidentally (not using it for what it's intended for). I was distraught because it's the only thing that worked for me. I went to a major retailer to try another hook (priced at $30,or more) and it didn't do what I needed to. The complaint I've read is about the rubber tip. if you are looking for a hook to glide over clothing this is not the one for you. I need pressure in one spot in my shoulder and knead the knot into submission. The tip on this tool holds its point and allows you you really dig into the problem area. I would think the lateral movement of gliding (with the rubber tip) would strain the device and potentially break it. I am pretty rough on mine and its held up. pulling straight down on an area and "rolling" over a tense muscle is what this is designed for. At 10 bucks, replace it if it breaks. A nominal cost of a tool that at works (in my situation). But again...it depends on what you are looking for.

Don't buy
Balls for pressure points are made of a grippy material which makes it hard to use. The ball part can move and seems like a super weak spot when using. Was not effective.

Give it a chance.
When I first used this to activate deep trigger points, I thought for sure I was going to break it. Not so! It's much stronger than it feels. Definitely worth the money.
