Transformers Generations: Decepticon Darkmount Action Figure

Not many people are probably familiar with the Darkmount character. He's not as well known as Optimus or Bee, so the fact they went to the trouble of doing a figure of him is great. I really like the figure, other than the weird ankles. He can be a but of a pain to transform, but he's still fun. The headsculpt is superb and fits well with rest of the figure. I probably overpaid when I bought him, but It's because I didn't find out about him until he had gotten rather scarce. I'm still glad I picked him up.

Its great that hasbro made a Figure of Darkmount, He was a great leader of the decepticons and Many fans desire a figure of him especially fans's comics .

i found this toy in stores and got him simply becouse his vihicle mode (car/tank) looks really great he has 3 modes one his vihicle mode the second a kind of alian battle mode witch is a tank standing and his half rail tank mode the cannon part in the tank mode can rotate completly around and includes no firing missles (which i personaly like that it doest) in robot mode he stands about the same height as optimus but maybe a tiny smaller hes face looks more like a mask than a head he looks like he was sopposed to have light piping but in the end just blue plastic and hes eyes are gold one thing i really like is he comes with three small weapons a machiene gun a missle launchers and some other weapon which i dont know what it is whats really cool is that theres no spacific way to put them infact if you have smaller toys you can connect them to them however there small so if your planning to buy this for a child they might get lost speaking of children this toy was in my opiniun really hard to transform its not that its really hard you mught get it later on but the instructions are really confusing all in all its OK but its not all that and certinly not worth 25 dollers you should wait and if you really really want it go ahead but again not the best transformer out there oh and yes his hands open and close to hold that pick axe weapon which he holds really tight the pointy parts are soft plastic hope this helped

Darkmount is one of the coolest generations transformers out there.His vehicle mode is a half-track mode which is a kind of like a tank with a sleeker look,but still has all the firepower to take care of anything in his path.The detail on the figure is outstanding from head to toe.Dakmount's head piece looks like a mask to be honest,but it works for this figure very well.The cannon piece from vehicle mode also turns into a battle axe for mixing it up in close encounters that fits very well in darkmounts hands that are poseable.Darkmount has a 3rd mode that is a battle station that looks like a futuristic rotating cannon turret to take down any airborne enemies as well. The transformation level is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers the process has midlevel difficulty.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger thr process could be very challenging,so be prepared to help out some.The durability and poseability of darkmount are both an A++.Bottom line Darkmount is a high-quality,well-made,10 out of 10 figure all transformer fans should have.I highly recommend Darkmount to all transformer fans and collectors out there.I hope this helps out some.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all this Transformer was inspired by the comic character called Straxus. Darkmount was the name of his fortress. Now on to the toy.Straxus is an awesome transformer. His Half track tank mode is pure destruction on wheels and he is bristling with enough weaponry to make even the mighty Megatron think twice!The transformation is a bit complicated but it is highly effective. The instructions are precious little help so I suggest checking out youtube for some reviews on this guy for transformation help.After you transform him I gaurantee that you will not want to put this toy down! He looks like such a brute in robot mode and the pick axe for a weapon with that cruel visage of a face makes him look just plain diabolical! He can easily hold his big melee weapon in both hands and he actually has a waist joint so the articulation gets very awesome in a hurry.In the end, I would say pick this guy up for sure! You can probably find him in most stores now so why are you still here reading this review?
