Giusto Sapore Sicilian Cannoli Shells - Small - 100 Shells - Imported from Italy and Family Owned Brand

Family loves Cannoli's and around the holiday, we are always making candy, cakes, etc....2 years ago, we tried cannolis and you cannot find big shells anywhere, every store, even the Italian bakery only sold the mini shells, that year we used the mini and the filling we made was awful because we did not strain the ricotta, we skipped 2019 xmas, but beings its 2020 and we've got nothing better to do, we decided to give the cannoli another shot. Was hesitant to buy shells online due to shipping and had pretty low expectations that these would come unbroken. 2 things 1. Every shell was fine, not 1 broke, kudos the the mfg to pack these things really well to avoid breaking 2. The flavor of these are great 48 is a lot for a family of 4 but with xmas coming up, I suspect they will be eaten. The one thing we did notice with the dozen we made for Thanksgiving, they only last about 3 days before the filled shell becomes soggy, we drained the ricotta 24 hours this time with a cheese cloth so the filling came out well. So I would not fill until you are at most 48 hours before you plan to serve them. I plan to store them in airtight bags until xmas rolls in, I don't think freezing is a good idea because of moisture

Luscious shells they were a big hit

These mini cannoli shells are out of this world. Important information for Americans: in the USA people have a preference for parties loaded with sugar and / or vanilla and / or cinnamon. That's not the case with these mini cannoli. The flavor is superb and the texture is great, good crunchy consistency and not very crumbly. Everything is so perfect. Just smell them when you receive them.... amazing. I'm not going back to the ones sold at H-E-B for sure. One last thing: the shells came well packaged, not a single one arrived broken.

So I lost about 20 - broken and in pieces but only in one package - like they had been packed up before they had cooled and dried appropriately. Important to note they are crunchy - as they should be - because once you fill them - they soften slightly over night. You want this! When your guests bite into them they should break neatly - not fall apart like a taco shell. They quality of flavor is very good. They were not expired. The value for the price is unbeatable. It would have taken me an entire day to make these myself. I will order again! The size is also perfect for a bite sized snack. Excellent product.

I enjoy entertaining and serve Italian with some regularity so am often looking for an Italian dessert. I love Cannoli, but was not really interested in buying the equipment and learning to make the shells. These are a great shortcut. They are probably not as good at the best homemade, but better than I have had in some restaurants and bakeries - though admittedly not as good as in others. They come in 4 sealed packages of 25. In the first one I opened, not a single one was broken. In the second, two had a small piece broken off, but they were still useable. The "use by" date is still months away, so I don't feel pressured to use the remaining two packages immediately. That was an unexpected plus. I created my filling from a Cannoli Dip recipe I had and love that uses a combination of about 1/3 cream cheese and 2/3 ricotta with some 10x and mini-chocolate chips. They were easy to fill with either a pastry bag or the corner cut off of a plastic storage bag.

The cannoli's are broken and stale. I have 2 boxes of bad baking goods!! I have bought the cannoli's 8 time that came from Giusto Sapore. The last 2 boxes are nightmare, they are broken and stale that has been sent to my by RIGHT FOODS. when i bought directly from Giusto Sapore everything was perfects, my customers thought i made they!! They were fresh and crunchy!!! I am very angry because i have 2 boxes of cannoli's that i can not sell or eat!!!!!!! Sad that i have to look for a another company to buy from!

The small shells were great, arived in sealed packages and i am pleased, but never buy the large shells because they come in unsealed packages with a plastic bag sitting on top

There was a combination of problems. I was home when package arrived . It was left upside down by the front door even when there was an arrow clearly pointing how it had to be handled. And then there’s an internal problem: each layer of the packaged cannoli had one or more broken cannoli. I paid nearly $70. And 8 are damaged . The size and appearance seems ok that’s why I have them 3 stars.
