Fantastic Four By Jonathan Hickman: The Complete Collection Vol. 2

Hickman's volume one had originally stopped me from reading the rest of this run, as I felt the first volume lacked a cohesive and interesting storyline. I finally got around to picking this up and I was shocked at how incredible it was. Hickman managed to pull a complete 180 here. If you were not a huge fan of the first volume, like me, I do recommend you give this volume (and the third) a try. There is a lot of emotional moments in this storyline, with a very surprising loss suffered by the FF. The storyline moves pretty fluently and is held up by great interaction between the characters, fantastic art, and a constant built up that sets up the eventual big conflict at the end. The run doesn't really feel complete until volume three, but this is an absolute must get for any Marvel fan.

I'm a Lee/Kirby and Byrne/Byrne/Byrne (Gordon) FFFanatic, and I wanted to repeat what I've said here previously; this was my second try of Hickman's FF, and the run definitely lives up to the hype I've heard for years. It's clear it must be read as a run, though; if you don't like the first volume, you won't like this. But I think this is the FF that the MCU should bring to life.

While this one felt slower at the start it leads up to one of the most momentous movements in all of Marvel!! The iconic moments Ive always heard about and never heard about all played out in a nonstop addicting to read manner!! These collections are sizable but Ive devoured every one of them in 2 days each! Wonderful characterizations, directions, characters actualized, just the best time!

I bought this, expecting it to have glossy, thick paper like the smaller collections. The pages have little gloss and are very, very thin.

Book was exactly as described, but badly packaged. Corners turned up because of the way it was packaged. Was a Christmas present so I didn't return it but was disappointed.

en general Excelente comic, yo no habia dado la oportunidad de leer una historia de los 4 Fantasticos, pero Hickman hizo que me atrapara la dinamica de este grupo de heroes. en el volumen 1 piensas que solo cuenta historias separadas, pero en este segundo te da la sorpresa que empieza a hilar o amarrar todas esas historias para llegar al climax de su historia. super recomendable, excelente narrativa, y muy buen arte.

Segundo gran recopilatorio de la corrida de Hickman. Meticulosamente planeado y sorprendente. Gran desarrollo de trama, personajes y situaciones. El dibujo de Epting le va muy bien. El tomo queda en continuación para seguir con el arco de la Guerra de las 4 Ciudades. Lectura muy recomendable para los seguidores de Hickman y los 4F.
