Great product!
In my old car, I always just brought it to a car wash. However, I've recently gotten a new car that I'm obsessed with and want to baby and take absolute care of. I'm worried about the paint getting scratched at a car wash so I'm washing it by hand instead. The money I save is also nice. I'm still new to this and learning about how to use clay and I'm a bit apprehensive about it. Because of that, I'm mostly just using the chenille side, which is great! It's so soft and covers so much surface area. Sadly, my hands are the size of a toddlers so the mitt itself is big on me. Not the mitt's fault. All gloves are big on me. But I'm really pleased with this product so far. It seems well made and durable and works really well at keeping my baby spic and span!

Cleans my car faster
The clay mitt really did make the job of washing my car faster. The chenille side got into the slats very easily and as a result less time had to be spent in those areas. And since it made the job of car washing faster, I’m sure I wont be procrastinating as much in future!

It's ok, not superior to traditional clay though.
Overall this is ok, I use the microfiber side to wash the car, rinse off the car, and flip the mitt to the clay side. I tried several different ways and could not get the clay side to work that well. The microfiber side is simple and not hard to get wrong. its the clay side where it falls short. Compared to a clay bar it was easier but only because you're not having to spray, scrub with a small clay piece and repeat that for every single inch of the car. This mitt has much more surface area and since it's already soaking wet it glides easily. But the clay side of the mitt just doesn't lift contaminants like a traditional clay bar would. I've also used different clay replacement type of products and those aren't much better but this mitt was the least effective. I can't say this is perfect, it does lift SOME contaminants but I can't say I would recommend this over a clay bar fully. Maybe do this every wash, it could work but if you're going after a perfect contaminant free paint surface this isn't it. This mitt could be used as maintenance maybe. Price is also just not there but it's not horrible either. Overall 4/5, it's just ok.

Easy to use detailing mat
These detailing mats are so easy to use and left the truck streak free. The chenille makes it easy to reach in awkward areas or get corners. Very intuitive to use and well-constructed. These are easy to wash as well without damaging them.

A Mixed Experience with the Claying Mitt: Useful but Not Ideal for Every Situation
Detailing a car to a truly smooth, polished finish often involves claying the paint to remove contaminants that regular washing can’t handle. It’s a process that requires care, the right technique, and patience. I recently tried this claying mitt with that goal in mind, hoping it would make the task easier. The mitt combines a clay-like surface on one side with microfiber cloth fingers on the other, which immediately seemed like a smart concept—offering two functions in one tool. However, my experience with it brought some mixed feelings. One clear advantage of the mitt is that it helps reduce the risk of dropping your clay bar during the process, which can be frustrating and costly. Instead of handling a loose piece of clay, the mitt secures the clay material to your hand, which feels more controlled and stable when working over the car’s surface. For light claying jobs, especially if you’re washing and claying at the same time, this dual-function approach has definite appeal. You can use the microfiber side to wash or rinse lightly, then switch to the clay side for tackling spots that need a bit more attention. It offers a convenience that a standalone clay bar or mitt alone doesn’t. That said, the mitt isn’t without its limitations. It’s noticeably heavier and bulkier than any traditional clay bar I’ve used, which makes it more cumbersome to work with, particularly on a larger surface. If you’re planning to clay an entire car to prepare it for polishing or waxing, this mitt would likely slow you down and tire your hand out faster. Traditional clay bars are lightweight, easy to maneuver, and more forgiving to work with over extended periods. The added weight and thickness of the mitt mean it’s best reserved for smaller, targeted claying jobs or maintenance between more thorough detailing sessions. Another important point is that even when using the mitt, you still need to pay close attention to the application technique. You must use the correct lubricant in the right amount to avoid any risk of scratching or marring the paint. The mitt doesn’t eliminate the fundamental challenges of claying—it simply changes the handling experience. If you’re not cautious with lubricant, pressure, or frequent rinsing of the mitt surface, you could still cause damage, just as with a traditional clay bar. From a cost perspective, this product feels overpriced when compared to other clay or wash mitts on the market. It’s roughly two to three times the price of a typical microfiber wash mitt, which many people already have on hand, and significantly more than standalone clay bars. Given that it doesn’t fully replace either product—since it’s too heavy for full-car claying and more specialized than a general wash mitt—the price point makes it a tougher sell. For someone who clays their car frequently or professionally, the mitt might add some value. But for the average car owner looking for an affordable, effective claying solution, it might not justify the investment. In summary, this claying mitt brings an interesting approach to car detailing by combining washing and claying functions into a single tool. It is convenient for light use and reduces the risk of dropping clay, which can be a hassle. However, its bulk and weight make it less practical for comprehensive claying, and the price is higher than what you might expect for a specialized mitt. For these reasons, I’d say it’s a decent product with specific uses but not a universal replacement for traditional clay bars or wash mitts. Overall, it earns three stars for its innovative concept and functionality balanced against its practical limitations and cost.
