Works Beautifully
Quality product, dries fast (especially with hair dryer), great matte finish. Just be sure you stir it well to mix up any settling at the bottom or it may dry sticky. If it does, simply mix better and re-apply. Do not apply on a rainy day or may trap moisture and fog. Been using this product for decades and love it! Highly recommend - not just for oils and watercolor paintings but also miniature figurines. Knocks the shine of spray sealers right down!

Takes off shine but leaves the color
Purchased to reduce the shine of an oil painting. This did a great job, left a velvety matte finish, but preserved the original color of the paint. It goes on smoothly. However it does have a slight characteristic varnish odor.

Best Desperate Buy
Immediately opened this and finished a panel I had sitting, waiting. I do believe this works better (and drives faster) than any I have used, before. Was purchased only because I had to have it and wasn't going to have a day off for quite a while, so there wasnt going to be any trip to the art supply store in the next county any time soon. Glad I bought it. It will be replaced with the same brand in larger quantity soon.

Almost ruined my brush
Works okay, but almost ruined the brush I used to varnish. Very hard to clean.

I probably sound like a newbie saying it (because I am so this was a lesson for me) but this severely REEKS worse than the crystal varnish I've been using for years. I used to get away with applying varnish in a well ventilated indoor area with an air purifier but this is NOT like that. Absolutely only to be used outdoors or in a garage with the door open.
