The best router I have ever used - period!
Scenario: I have an 800 sqft house with thick concrete block walls - the wifi router is located in the hall and then there is a corridor to the bedrooms and bathrooms and kitchen which runs off the corridor. I only bought the router and no satellite as it claimed on the box to be sufficient for 2000 sq ft. I have it placed in the same position where the previous router was on a book shelf near the corridor. Pros Quick and easy setup - less than 10 mins from unboxing to ready to go.. Excellent coverage - earlier with a TP-Link Archer C9 - I would not get coverage in the bedrooms at all and had to use an extender but with the extender the speed would drop significantly - not with this anymore... All the remote corners of the home and the floor above and below I get good signal and more importantly almost the same speed (may be 1-5 mbps slower) as next to the router! The TP-Link Archer C9 would hang intermittently and we would have to hard reboot the router to get it started again - no more of this with the Orbi Cons the signal light is on the top of the unit which becomes difficult to see unless it it dark then one can make out if the service provider is having issues with the internet. Overall Was a bit skeptical about this technology - price wise it has come down significantly so was wondering if the performance would not be upto the mark - rest assured this preforms well. Definitely recommend this to those facing issues with the earlier routers

Easy to Set Up; Noticeable Increase in Speed
Writing this after one day of use, and am thoroughly satisfied. The current state of happiness is probably because I really struggled with extenders, where you always needed to manually select the better network, since even the fancy laptops and phones sometimes get it wrong / randomly switch networks. The struggle was all the more frustrating in the age of work from home - especially attending court hearings. I bought the 1 Router+ 2 satellite set, and it's hooked to a fiber optic airtel connection. Pros: 1. easy to set up with the app. I found it's set up much simpler than the video for comparable TP Link mesh systems; 2. The speed has dramatically increased from around 35-40 mbps (available on the D-Link router that was provided by airtel), to over 90 when the your handheld device or laptop shows even two bars / waves of connectivity. 3. allows seamless movement between different satellites (which is what it's meant to do). Cons: 1. The line of sight requirement (that both satellites have to be in sufficient proximity of the router) is slightly annoying. Some houses don't really have a central spot where the ISP router comes in. I face that problem, so my satellites are placed in slightly odd places in the house. 2. It took multiple attempts to detect the satellites during set up. But since then, running smoothly.

Amazing Product
I used to face a lot of issue with the network connectivity throughout my home. Specially with the current WFH situation due to COVID-19 restrictions, having seamless connectivity with high speeds became a necessity.Shortlisted RBK20 after going through a lot of reviews, videos and discussions with friends. This one is really good for a 1500-2000 sq ft apartment in my opinion.Having Tri-band is a really great advantage. Now I can move around the house the entire house without being bothered about connecting to a particular band/SSID. The router/satellite duo do all the hard work.Netgear Armor and Disney's Circle are added advantage.I have not tested yet for high end gaming, but i am using this for keeping 4 iphones, 1 ipad, 2 laptops, 2 smart TVs, 3 echo dots, and multiple other smart devices (plugs/remotes/camera) connect to the internet 24x7. And not facing any issue so far.One area of improvement would be to have an easy option in the advanced settings to have a separate name for the 2.4 GHz SSID. Most of the smart home devices such as smart plugs, do not support 5GHz band currently. Thanks Netgear!

Amazingly effective and simple
In the era of work from home and home schooling, having reliable internet connection all over the house has become a necessity. Existing Airtel router (Huawei) failed miserably in the regard in a 2500 sft apartment. Adding a booster would mean a different IP address and break in VPN connectivity when moving between rooms + at least 2-3 boosters to cover the entire apartment. After much research, I went ahead with Netgear orbiRBR20 with 1 satellite. The router sits in the living room (center of the house) and the satellite in a corner bedroom which doubles up as an office room on occasion and has the most signal drop and interference from neighbors wifi networks. The router was connected to Airtel router via LAN cable and followed instructions on ORBI app (PS: didn't get any internet on LAN cable at first attempt, since airtel had disabled all LAN ports on the router!! Not sure why! Enabled via admin login on router settings). Once the internet on LAN was enabled, all router set up instructions on Orbi app was followed but internet was not working on Orbi router. Turns out, after a call to an awesome tech support exec at Netgear, that the router needs to be set up via orbilogin.com. this information was not available on any documentation provided with the router. However, must say that the tech support was very good and 15 min of work on the set up later, everything was working fantastic. Internet speed was pretty consistently hitting 150-200mbps in all rooms. Still a bit of a drop once you reach 25 feet from the router. Overall a huge improvement from before and very happy so far. Well worth the investment

So many flaws
1. Not easy to setup. Every step is painfully slow. And it doesn't work at the first time. 2. restarts are very slow. so if you have power fluctuations, you have a 5min + downtime 3. anything slightly misconfigured, wifi keeps fluctuating. you need to research online to figure out if something is potentially wrong. i would rather buy a cheap router, and optimize it myself 4. network toplogy it forms are almost suboptimal. even if you force a certain thing, they keep changing. 5. if you have thick walls, range is extremely poor. this is my problem. this is mostly the case when you multiple floors to cover. 6. the app has very basic features. no way to easily add a guest without sharing a password.

Best router and high performance for the price range
I was amazed by this product for 1500 sqft one node is enough and satellite just add power for 4000sqft Easy installation takes time just be patient For act broadband you dont need any external router just put the pin in wan port and use advance setting for pppoe connection and type id and password and enjoy the wifi connection with no dead zone and same speed throughout the home My speed is 90mbps and i get around 75-90 throughout my home Only issue to switch from main node to Satellite takes time though with less signal i get speed of 45-70mbps Thank you netgear for wonderful product

Not worth the spend
I replaced my WNR-614 due to WFH demands on bandwidth. Replaced it with RBR20 without satellite. The wifi range is just as good or just as bad as the WNR, which is almost 6yrs old. Network drops are common. Orbi app is beautiful and easy the use. It would have been better if they had provided 100% function either in the app OR in the web interface... Neither interfaces are full featured. The Orbi hardware based protection thru Bitdefender is a great innovation but the Bitdefender subscription is free for just 30 days post install. It did detect bad urls and enchnaces safety, but purchasing it is extremely expensive. Either Netgear needs to bundle it up for one year subscription OR bitdefender needs to drop prices to affordable levels in cost conscious economies like India. Moreover, network drops on both frequencies is random and frequent - at least a dozen times a day. Even though my area is free of microwave interference and other wifi routers. I can say, this time Netgear has let me down.
