I have nothing but high praise for these devices
This company may have redesigned this device due to several bad reviews. But the unit I got looks really solid, has an upper and lower identical platform, with no "Up" or "Down" and seemed very well constructed. So I had also ordered the smaller version (24 Quart) Mr Stacky at the same time. Then I filled up the Mr Stacky with some Garden Soil & Set it on this Turntable and that on a 5 gallon bucket turned upside down to raise the system and make more accessible. And low and behold, everything FIT PERFECTLY so that nothing can slide off or fall over barring the occasional rowdy dog or child. And though I had pre-measured everything, I was not expecting such a perfect fit. Also the turntable has a textured and kind of rubbery surface which helps keep things in place. The whole thing weighs over 50 pounds after watering it thoroughly and it turns easily and with no complaints. Don't know why so many folks have so many complaints...I have nothing but high praise for these devices. Time will tell as to long term use.

A No-Nonsense Turntable
I saw this on a Youtube video being used to turn 3D modeling subjects as they were being photographed. I was lucky that the narrator mentioned it by name and I immediately purchased one here at Amazon.Sure, turntables, or a lazy susan as some might call it, are common items in places like Wal-Mart or Target, but they usually come with a lip to keep things from spilling out too easily. For my purposes, those raised lips at the edge of the platform kept getting in the way and I found myself using different things to creatively lift my photography subjects just enough to be completely photographed without losing the bottom edge of something. This turntable was perfect for that reason alone. There are numerous sizes available and the fact that it can take a heavier load then many common lazy susans is a big plus for me. The only downside I can mention is the noise. Unless I have a really heavy item sitting on it, the ball bearings inside will make a loud grinding, rubbing sound. I know, I know, I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, but that really is the only negative thing I can say about it.For anything aside from hosting spices, I'd strongly recommend this turntable.

Good for under a PC monitor
Maybe not up to heavy loads but I use this turntable under a 22" computer monitor and it works fine, stable and unobtrusive.

Unusable and inferior for my need
I ordered the Rotating Turntable - Lazy Susan to use in my new overhead kitchen cabinets. I had bought some other brand that was too large to fit inside the cabinet and still allow the door to close. The 10" turntable fit and allowed the door to close with space to spare. That was the end of the good news. First, they would not rotate easily. As I found out later (another story, later) the bearings inside were made of plastic and would not rotate without sliding across the shelf. I was using them for spices, etc. and that was not heavy enough to keep the turntable in place on the shelf when you press against it to turn it. I think that with more weight on the turntable it may have stayed in place and turned more easily. They are rated for up to 65 lbs. but I'll bet if they carried that much weight the bearings would start to wear and would have become unround. The second problem was that the turntables were slightly humped in the middle and did not have a lip around the edge, so the spice bottles would slide off of the edge when you could get the shelf to rotate. That didn't work for me.So, I took them out of the cabinet and one of them got left on top of a toaster oven. Within minutes it had melted and warped until when I picked it up it fell apart and the little plastic balls inside came falling out onto the floor. That one was ruined.I am going to try to use the others for paint and other things like that in my shop. That might work unless the paint leaks onto the shelf and melts it.Even though the turntables were half the cost of the others that I bought they were less than half as good in quality. They were just one step above useless to me.

Perfect for the New iMac!
I purchased this product about 2 or 3 years ago for my high cupboard. I thought it would help me reach with ease the vinegar, oil, etc bottles. But as soon you turn this lazy susan, the bottles fall on the sides because it did not have an edge to support the bottles. I ended up buying another lazy susan with an edge feature for this purpose. However, I found a perfect use for this one. The new iMac 21 inch has all it's connectors, USB ports at the back. My computer table is set close to the wall. It is a hassle that to get stuff connected to the back as you have to rotate the monitor. This runs the risk of scratching your computer table, or even toppling down the computer each time you do that. So I placed this lazy susan underneath the computer stand. It fits perfectly! And each time I need to access the back ports, the computer rotates smoothly. The weight of the iMac is well supported & is very stable on top of this lazy susan.

Works better than price paid.
Yep, there are reviews knocking the product for its plastic build. And, when free rotating, it does make a little squeak, though not much. These are impressions one might form viewing the turntable out of the box. However, now that it's a part of my work area, it performs much better than a $3.99 tool, much better than would would expect. We have some shelving (deep shelves, lots of room), dedicated as a pantry in our basement. Loose toiletry items, such as shampoos, razors, creams, astringent, etc, rest atop a re-purposed round table top, which is supported by this turntable. This little work horse spins smoothly and makes no noise at all. Now, instead of moving boxes to get at stuff, we just spin the shelf and get what we need.No hassles, it just works.
