My husband is going crazy from this.** A: It doesn’t remove litter from the paws, but it does help keep more litter inside the box. I use a wood pellet type litter and it has drastically reduced the amount of pellets getting outside the box. Also, if the hood is detaching from the box, then it isn’t actually fully attached. I had a hard time snapping it all the way into place, but once it does, it doesn’t come off like that other reviewer said happened. One star less only because the shape of it has the little ‘notches’ that are too wide for my scooper so it’s hard to reach the corners. Annoying.
