Comfortable & functional adjustable Camera Strap
Unlike many customers, I don't have a big fat heavy DSLR that's in desperate need of support: I ditched my DSLRs several years ago and converted to lighter-weight, smaller mirrorless micro 4/3 cameras. I bought this strap for a particular purpose: I often go bicycling, and wanted a comfortable strap for one of my smaller mu-43/Micro Four Thirds cameras (a Panasonic Lumix GX1, with a 14mm 'pancake' Panasonic lens mounted on it, all in all quite a small camera/lens combo). The goal: to be able to wear the camera slung around my back in a relatively tight (but comfortable) fit for biking - but also to have an instantly-adjustable strap so that, if I want to stop and take a picture of anything, I yank yank on the strap and it'll 'extend' for photographing - but then yank on it again (in the other direction, obviiously) and have it 'cinch up' back to a comfortable/tighter fit for biking. And guess what? CustomSLR's 'Air Strap' does exactly that. It also does it in a comfortable, clever, and ingenious fashion. I'm not going to bore whoever's reading this with details about how it works. You can read them in the product description - or on CustomSLR's website - or see the strap 'in action' on several excellent YouTube videos - or read Mike Pasini's thorough and excellent review of it on his website (which I did before buying, and helped me decide on this strap). But, basically, the strap does what it's supposed to - provide a comfortable but tighter fit for walking/biking/running/x-CSkiing/Whatever - but then loosening at a simple tug to give the user/photographer plenty of room to take pictures. It's such a cool product I decided to write this review - and I pretty much never write reviews. That alone should tell you that this is far better than most of the straps I've used. But most importantly - it works. The fact that it does it for a fair and totally affordable price is another feather in the cap of the folks at CustomSLR - who make good and great products, and reasonable prices. Hope this helps someone trying to make a similar decision to the one I had to make.

Fantastic, comfortable strap that *almost* reaches perfection...
True rating is 4.5 stars as Amazon does not allow 1/2 star increments. The Custom SLR Camera Air Strap is a very versatile strap that performs well above it's inexpensive price point. The shoulder mesh portion has round edges to minimize/eliminate friction with the neck. It is very light, breathable and flexible --- I have gone on a multitude of day-long shooting events without encountering any comfort problems. The strap itself performs as described - I like that there's an option to either attach directly to the side rings of my camera (Sony a6000) or attach to their Custom SLR C-Loop Camera Strap Mount Solution - Silver (not included). In either case, the camera and strap felt very secure. If I needed to quickly move to another location, a short tug on the shoulder loop was all that was needed to brace the camera to my body/back. The circular connections were very handy as it allowed for some side-to-side travel from the camera without disturbing the shoulder mesh. The connections felt very secure and I highly doubt they would come loose on their own. I am probably nit-picking but I have to take away 1/2 star because the strap isn't quite perfect. Unlike its related-sibling (Custom SLR's Glide Strap), the shoulder mesh of the Air Strap does not stay in place when you bring the camera up to take a photograph. It will fall behind your back until you bring the camera back down to your hip after taking the shot. This means that you might have to re-seat the strap on your shoulder if it does not land at the optimum *rest* position. Also, there is some slight friction on your clothing with the constant up-and-down nature of the strap. This was not a problem on my t-shirts and tight-woven jackets but there was some pilling forming on my sweaters. Overall, I more than satisfied with this product and will getting another when we purchase my wife's new camera in the near future.

Comfortable overall and good value
Great strap. Very comfortable when I wear it over the shoulder with the camera slung around to my back and I love the quick disconnects. I wish the padded area was slightly less wide as its a bit bulky around the back of my neck when I have the camera in front of me but it seems to be getting better the more I use it.

Decent strap
Pretty decent camera strap. Might not be for everyone, but it works pretty well for me. Coming from an OpTech Super Classic Strap, this one doesn't seem quite as well made or as strong in some areas, but the strap pad is slightly wider and just as comfortable, and it's still plenty strong that I have no concerns about it. t'was a little more bulky due to wider webbing in some areas than the previous strap I had, but after wearing it a few days, the webbing seemed to straight out from use (vs. the folded-in-the-box it felt like for the first day or two) and that seemed to help.

Second wrong item
Based on the shoulder straps I have for my laptop bags, I'm sure these are high quality. I looked at the first wrong shipment and I received, and it seems the same quality. Unfortunately, what I need is a neck strap for my camera, not two arm slings - the first wrong one, replaced by the second wrong one.

Strap ends are thick. Its a pain to take on and off my Canon 5DS
I bought this strap, hoping that it would be similar to a Peak Design for a lower price point. I hoped to use it on the topside mounting points on my 5DS or A7RIII with a telephoto. I take the strap on and off frequently, as I use the cameras for lots of different situations. This strap has quick disconnect buttons, but they leave a long tag end attached to the camera, and that also makes it harder to pull the tag end in and out of the camera attachment point. I didn't want a C-Loop tripod screw type mount because I want the camera to be able to sit flat on the base, and also have the tripod point available. The Peak quick disconnect tabs are much smaller than this setup, and the Peak strings are much smaller to take on and off. If this strap used either, it'd be much more useful to me. I could use carabiners or clips, but I want fabric attachments to be quiet and not scratch or wear on my cameras. However, it is a nice wide and seems to be a strong strap that provides good support with a heavy rig, like my Canon 5DS with a 28-300 telephoto. However, if I'm going to go for the tripod mount, I want a strap more like a Black Rapid, which gives you a little bit better ergonomics for pulling the camera up and down, rather than this style neck strap. Anyway, to each their own, but if I were doing it again, I would've bought something different.

Strong and Comfortable
I like this strap so much for my equipment I have bought a second. I use only a hand strap on my camera but first purchased this strap to replace an uncomfortable strap on a holster-type camera case containing a pro-sized camera and lens. The strap is strong and the shoulder pad breathes well, is comfortable, and the pad has some stretch or give to it, which also cushions my shoulder and the bounce of my equipment. Since buying the first one I have since replaced the strap on my lens exchange case with another. I can comfortably carry 10-15 or pounds all day using these two straps on my bags, which I could not before replacing the straps with these. They are a great find for me and well worth the price. I highly recommend this strap.

Absolutely my favorite one
This is the best neckstrap I've ever used with my DSLR and I've been a professional photographer for over a decade. To give you an idea, I went to Vegas in 114 degree weather and this strap didn't make me sweat extra which is a feat considering the temperature and I was in direct sun for hours. Also, I went hiking through the Grand Canyon with it and it was so light (which matters a lot when you're going up and down hills and dodging tree branches) and it didn't chafe my neck, collar bones, nor shoulders at all. I would HIGHLY recommend giving this one a shot.
