BOSCH T313AW3 3-Piece 6 in. Knife Edge Special for Soft Materials T-Shank Jig Saw Blades

These curious blades work surprisingly well for cutting EPS foam, which is usually a huge mess to cut. The blade starts out cutting kind of rough, bouncing the saw, but after a foot or so it gets very smooth and easy to slice through the foam like a hot knife through butter. I suspect this is because the blade cuts better once it has gotten a bit hot from the friction with the foam. Aside from the smooth cutting, this blade has the advantage that there is absolutely no debris coming off the cuts. It works much more like a knife than a saw blade. Really a breakthrough product. Worth every penny.

These blades are sharp and durable, making cutting soft materials smooth and precise. They fit perfectly in my jig saw and stay strong even with heavy use. Really improves efficiency on every project.

I read a lot of the reviews here and decided that, for the price, I'll give it a try. The blade never bent and cut through the garage door foam panels with ease. Very little mess, so the cleanup was hardly any foam beads. They are very sharp and thin. If you're cutting foam board, then spend a few bucks and buy these blades.

These work well on hard insulation foam panels. Clean cuts first 6 or 7 times then they start to dull - they still cut but as cleanly. The great part of these blades is almost no flakes of foam all over the shop like saws hand or power. Very little debris everywhere. If you have allot of cuts to make buy 4 - 5 packs of these blades.

This was the best. I needed to cut 4' x 8' sheets of 2" thick foam insulation board, the blade of a utility knife was too short and when you 'snapped' the pieces, you get a ragged edge. I also tried a serrated bread knife, but somewhere in the middle of the cut the friction warmed up the blade and it started to bind up. A circular saw created too much "sawdust" that was charged with static electricity and made a horrible mess to deal with. A reciprocating saw was awkward and difficult to control. I tried an assortment of jigsaw blades with varying degrees of success. Eventually finding these knife edge blades, although they took a while to receive, these ended up being the perfect blade.

Great for foamboard insulation. Like a hot knife through cold butter. Excellent, will definitely purchase again.

These cut through foam very easily. I do wish the manufacturer made longer ones, but I knew about the length limit before buying. With that in mind, these are really great.

This blade cuts foam insulation board very quickly and cleanly with no dust or mess. The only fault is that it's quite hard to source, needs better marketing and distribution. This order took a number of weeks to arrive, but I could not find another supplier so just accepted the delay. I hope they will become more widely known and available.

Best blades ever. Cut like butter on foam

I saw someone review these when working with rigid foam boards. I'd have to agree, using this over any other method to cut them, especially without having to invest in yet another tool (hot wire for instance), this works great in. your jig saw and produces beautiful cuts. You'll play around a bit with the speed setting and cut speed so that you don't melt the foam boards, but otherwise, zero complaints! And because the foam boards aren't exactly dulling the blade, I haven't even made my way through the first blade in the three pack. Cutting foam board with this blade gives you little to no mess, so what's not to like?!
