Bought this as an upgrade from a downhill mountain bike full face helmet. It's definitely heavier ( I think its nearly 5 lbs?) but wow you feel much safer with this and it's so much more comfortable. The airflow is great. I will say though when it's hot and you're sweating a little if you aren't moving the lenses fog up FAST which is dangerous and I really don't like that but at least you can flip the visor up easily.Very comfortable. Oh I will say there's a terrible sound echo inside the helmet. If you raise your voice to talk to people through the helmet it's like you're yelling at yourself inside the helmet which I also don't like. Still worth it though for the price.

This is a great product, very reasonably priced, and I particularly like the fact that the description of this helmet was exactly what I received, and the sizing chart was exact. Great helmet, comfortable and versatile.

Good beginner helmet for the price point.Pros: fits well, affordable, comfortableCons: sunvisor appears to be warped and clarity is impacted, fogs pretty quick, wind noise at speeds over 55MPH. I wish it had a D-ring that I could attach to a helmet lock on my bike.

The media could not be loaded. Good helmet for the price. I like the quick release chin strap and the drop down tinted visor is so helpful. Light works good also for those night time rides. Modular feature is the best also. I did have to cut axcess strap off of chin strap once you get it set or it will smack you in the wind. Sometimes the vents slide close while riding. Other than that it’s worth the money and a nice helmet for the price!

I've been riding for many years and have worn many different helmets.In short it's a great helmet for the money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.I wear a 6-3/4" hat. The fitment was perfect, was able to install my Bluetooth headset without issue, cheek pads fit right where they should on my cheekbones. There is plenty of space in front of your mouth as to not feel clostephobic.The airflow seems to be just fine. Both the clear exterior visor and tinted interior visor work fine and are clear.I saw that other reviews that were written talked about having actually saved their heads in an accident. Fortunately I have no experience there so I will take their word on it.

So, first, what I like:Some may think this a negative, but this helmet is much heavier than my Orz helmet which makes it feel like it’s much more substantially constructed.The helmet’s main and secondary visors move nicely with the lever for the secondary visor in a convenient place that doesn’t get obstructed by my Bluetooth intercom.The interior of the helmet is thoughtfully designed with channels in the foam for installing a wired headset and deep recesses for speakers. The interior padding is comfortable and sits snugly against your head creating a feeling of safety.The only negatives I have are mostly surrounding the build tolerances. The helmet is noisy. There’s a lot of wind noise and whistling when not behind the bikes windscreen.Today is the first time I got caught in the rain wearing this helmet. As I was wiping the visor, I found streaks I couldn’t clear and discovered that it was water running down the inside of the visor and obstructing a clear view of the road.The only other observation I have is that the airflow isn’t fantastic. The air current inside the helmet feels the same whether the vents are open or closed and that flow isn’t directed down the inside of the visor so an anti-flog shield is pretty much a necessity.So, not certain I would buy this one again. I really like the quality feel, comfort and forethought of building it to accommodate an headset, but would really want something that had better performance for sound, airflow and waterproofing.

I went over the handlebars at 20mph, landing mostly on my shoulder. I broke my clavicle and got road rash in six places. My head, face, and neck, were fine. I attribute that to my ILM helmet. My helmet got scratches that look like they prevented significant road rash/concussion, and possible facial/skull fracture. Regarding the helmet itself, it’s comfortable and easy to adjust/remove the strap. The sun visor is a nice feature.
