I absolutely LOVE this island. I was extremely nervous to buy something like this online, but I couldn't be happier. It arrived in multiple large, heavy boxes, so be prepared for that. Each box was labeled in the order to be opened, and each piece was clearly labeled. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. It does take some time to assemble, but I was able to do it by myself. I'm extremely impressed with the quality, it is very heavy duty. The design of the drop leaf is ideal, can handle the weight of people leaning on it without sagging. Highly recommend!

I'll start by saying I deliver furniture and appliances for a local store so I assemble a lot of items like this so I'm very used to how furniture is packaged and how it gets put together. This makes a difference. The island came in 5 heavy boxes that the ups guy was obviously not excited to bring lol. Getting them all inside by myself was interesting and I recommend not doing this alone. (Make sure you have PLENTY of space inside to unpackage everything.) I started by unboxing everything but the stools as to not mix the parts. It was all pretty standard packaging for furniture (lots of Styrofoam and tape) and a good portion of the time spent on this project was unboxing. Assembly was pretty straight forward for me and it took about 2.5 hours by myself. If you are not used to doing this you can expect to spend a little more. The directions were pretty good so be sure to follow those. After it was all together and leveled it looked pretty good. Some parts seemed "inexpensive" but still worked. There were no missing parts and the finished product is sturdy. But...for the price though I expected a little more... (Low quality glides for the drawers, and there were cheap feeling magnets and hinges for the cabinet doors, etc) The included hardware was equivalent to what you would find on a $100 cabinet made of particle board. The top however is thick and heavy and is on point for this caliber of furniture. I would recommend but I would be prepared to replace or upgrade some of the hardware in a few years.

THIS WAS THE EASIEST AND BEST INSTRUCTIONS I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. VERY WELL MADE. THE BOLTS AND HARDWARE WERE BAGGED SEPERATELY AND MARKED, SO NO CONFUSION IN ASSEMBLY. THE CHAIRS THAT CAME WITH THE ISLAND ARE VERY HEAVY AND STURDY. IT IS BEAUTIFUL, AS I EXPECTED, WHEN FULLY ASSEMBLED. IT SHOULD LAST FOR MANY YEARS. I LOVE THE TOP AND HOW IT FLIPS UP AND DOWN TO CREATE A PLACE TO SIT AND EAT. TWO LARGE DRAWERS AND 4 SHELFS THAT ARE ADJUSTABLE. VERY VERY PLEASED. AND BELIEVE ME , I HAVE PUT A LOT OF FURNITURE TOGETHER.......THEY CALL ME THE IKEA QUEEN.

I had researched islands with breakfast bars for a while and completely fell in love with the black version of this island. Unfortunately when I placed my order it was canceled by the seller because they were out of stock. After looking at a lot of other designs we decided to take a chance on the white version. It arrived a day early and even though I was home the delivery guy strangly put it in my garage without telling me. I guess that will teach me to leave the garage door open. One of the boxes was really heavy, but the others weren't too bad. When I opened the boxes I was a little scared at first because I wasn't sure if it would look high quality after it was together. The directions aren't very clear and we ended up with a bunch of parts that weren't listed in the instructions so it was absolutely necessary to have a second person or I may have gone crazy. Some of the pieces that were already together weren't together right so I had to take them apart and put them back together, but it was an easy fix. The directions also aren't in a very good order and so if you follow them exactly you will have to take some things apart after you are finished just to get to another step. With all of the piecing together it took nearly two hours to build, but the end result was really great. It looks amazing in my kitchen and the white looks fantastic. The all wood top is beautiful and well build. It is an excellent product for the price.

Only issue is bottom drawers do not stay closed

The top piece is a nice heavy piece of wood. The overall appearance is one of quality. My biggest frustration was that the divider piece between the two cupboards was misaligned. The holes in which dowels were supposed to be placed were completely off center..the 2 screws meant to hold the center divider were missing. One of the drawers catches upon closing. I think perhaps the drawer is a bit too narrow to glide smoothly over the track. Also one of the chairs had a scratch. I love the size and over all sturdiness however I think its way overpriced considering all the issues. I would have sent it back in hopes of an exchange but it took SO long to put it together..and I didnt realize the hole misalignment until it was pretty much completed.

This is a beautiful island as I am using it in my kitchen. It is very sturdy. The wood top has to be protected with placemats,pot holder but it is so beautiful I don't want the wood top to be changed. I lined the drawers with Con-Tact paper to protect them. It is very useful it had plenty of room for my serving dishes,mixing bowls, silverware and some of my pots and pans. Most importantly it makes my kitchen more inviting and had provided a lovely area for my family to gather. It was fairly easy to put together. I put it together by myself and balanced it on the boxes it came to fastened the island together with the screws.
