It has to be readjusted when you switch cables from one mfg or type to another. Each one has a little different jackets and some are harder than others to cut through. You have to adjust it where it doesn't cut all the way through the jacket, just score it and then when you bend it, it snaps at the score mark. This makes sure you don't cut your cables. So.. so... much easier than using small wire cutters to strip insulation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works on thicker CAT6A Cable *by J***B on Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2019* At work, I'm running some CAT6A cable for HDBaseT video extension. I purchased the Platinum Tools 15015C without doing enough verification that it would work, and sure enough the cable is too thick. The 15018C works perfectly on the much thicker CAT6A cable, and I was able to dial it in perfect so it just scores the jacket without cutting through.
