Wonderful
This is one of the better teas I've had. Of course it's subjective, and my first time trying hojicha, but I'm impressed. Good strong earthy flavor that doesn't need sweetener. Just the right balance. Really seems to help with focus and alertness compared to other teas I've had, which tells me it's good quality. Great in the afternoon. Worth it to me. I will buy again. Thank you.

Have you tried roasted tea? No? Start with this!
Flavorful tea. Roasted tea is a new one on me. This product is very good. Tea enjoyers of all types will be pleasantly surprised at the smooth taste. There's nothing bitter about it.

Tasty Hoji tea
This is a tasty Hoji tea, which is a Japanese roasted green tea. I liked that it is organic as well. The flavor is good, but not quite as strong as some Hoji tea I have had before. I think I prefer it a little stronger, a little more 'smoky'. But overall it is a very good tea and that is why 4 stars rather than 5.

Sodium Level Listed Incorrectly On Box???
I really enjoyed the taste & strength of this roasted green tea, but was completely shocked to read on the box it contained 270mg of sodium per teabag! So for that reason alone I’m only giving it 3 stars. I don’t understand the reason for all the sodium. Update: I think the sodium level printed on the recent boxes I purchased is actually a printing error because they don’t match the photo of the nutritional information that’s provided for this item on Amazon which lists 0 sodium. Would love to hear from the distributor to verify this and I’d then be happy to change my review stars.

Happy tea drinker!
We are enjoying Haiku Hojicha several times a day! The tea is delightful and packaged nicely. I'm glad to have a new source of our favorite tea and think everyone should give it a try!

Japanese green tea
I respect the work that goes into making this type of green tea available. I truly enjoy drinking it. It really is quite expensive for 17 tea bags. I thought it was the one I have been searching for I had at Shogun sushi Resturant a few years ago. It had an awesome woodsy taste. This one is close but not the same. Is there another green tea I can try that will taste like the one I had at Shogun that has the perfect woodsy flavor?
