I bought these bags to grow Christmas potatoes.Not knowing what to expect I have been happily surprised that my Charlotte winter crop potatoes are doing well in my polly-tunnel. I have to report though that the green/above ground section of the plants in the beige bag are twice the size of those in the green bag, which are twice the size of those in the black bag.I am waiting to see if this means that the potatoes themselves are suffering from light at different rates - are the ones in the beige bag greener than those in the black bag?I'll let you know after Christmas.

I always wanted to grow some veg at home, but with potatoes felt like I wanted to control the environment they grow in. I purchased 70 litres of compost to split between the three bags, filled them up and popped my seeded potatoes in (showing little sprouts). Within a week they were peaking through, so added some more compost on top. I am now looking forward to home grown spuds.The bags are well made, like a thick felt material, with carry handles which is nice as you can move them in and out of the sun. The little velcro windows are a nice idea, but I have yet to use these to harvest anything.

It's not a window, it's just an open hole in the side. I assumed it would be covered with plastic but it's not so if you open it for a peek, all the soil will drop out...!The fabric is not strong. I can't imagine these bags that took so long to arrive will last more than one season if that.Another dud product from amazon.

Order was actually cancelled the day before it arrive!. On two occasions I was advised that the grow bags would arrive, they did not. The day after I cancelled the order the grow bags arrived.They are actually a good size (34cm deep), well made (good strong seams) and base.One warning, the flap to see the vegetables below the soil is not a sealed viewing window, it is a hole. So don't open if you are just looking.They are worth ordering, just have patience they will come... Eventually. If in doubt contact the seller, they are very helpful.

These are fabulous, light weight and I’d recommend for the ‘starter gardener’.I can’t really comment on durability as they are new. Sturdiness- well they are going to get heavy due to compost, so may tear at handles as compost is heavier then strength of stitch- not the products fault.I think they are fabulous right now.(They do come as a three set, I’ve just not pitted third yet).

Received these today put straight into the garden with potatoes and carrots. Very sturdy holds a good amount of soil easy to move around my small garden. Thankyou
