The desertcart Rainforest: Animal Facts & Photos - Kindle edition by Adams, KC, Author Services, LP. Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. Use features like bookmarks, note taking and highlighting while reading The desertcart Rainforest: Animal Facts & Photos. Review: educational and entertaining book! - This book is a very good material if you want to teach or introduce your child on the most bizarre animals in the planet. It is a very informative and entertaining book that describes vividly the appearance, habitat, diets and behaviors of the exotic animals in the desertcart rainforest. This is a well-researched trivia book. The description for each specie of animal is very easy to read for a child. Review: A WALK THROUGH THE JUNGLE - Despite the title, this book is not merely a list of facts, but a comprehensive view of the desertcart RainForest and the life within it. I knew that this rainforest was the largest on earth, but I did not realize that this rainforest receives a whopping 52% of the daily precipitation for South America containing 2/3 of the world's fresh water supply and 20% of the world's oxygen. The animals inhabiting this world are diverse and bizarre. Most of us are familiar with tropical birds like the macaw and toucan and monkeys like the squirrel monkey and marmoset. Some of the unusual animals include the sloth who sleep fifteen to eighteen hours a day and the nocturnal maned wolf that is often called a red fox on stilts. Poison dart frogs can be as small as a paper clip, but their poison excreted through their skin is powerful enough to kill a human. Capybaras are the world's largest rodents, who are friendly to humans. On the other hand, the piranhas living in the river eat their prey alive. Be on the lookout for the anaconda, the largest most powerful snake on earth. Living in the water, these hunters catch their prey with their fangs and drag them under water to drown it before they swallow it alive. Animal selections are written well even if they are succinct. Pertinent information on diet, habitat and lifestyle is presented. Questions follow the descriptions for discussion. The photos are clear and appealing, I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in learning about this intriguing region. Great choice for elementary and middle school students or homeschooling parents.

Kid Friendly Amazon Rainforest Guide
This ebook had just the right balance of facts and pictures to be a welcome source of entertainment for our kids. I would recommend this for children ages 8-12 who are just beginning to get curious about the world we live in. It is great to have this kind of image rich digital learning tool available right at my finger tips. I do homeschool, so these types of resources are great! Get this book for long car rides or as a resource for homeschooling young children.

Good book: educational and entertaining
My nephew loves animals, and so do I. But I knew very little about the fauna of the Amazon rainforest. That's why I picked this book up, and I'm glad I did it because it was fun and educational. Lots of information and photos about the Amazon rainforest and some of the different animals that live in it. My favorite, the Puma yagouaroundi, what a cat! There's also a quiz at the end of the book on interesting facts about the Amazon. Good book for children, and animal lovers like me. :)

Animals and photos
The introduction to the book describes where the rain forests are, the rest of the book is photos of the animals that live in the rain forest and Wiki text about each animal. The photo are very nice, the paragraphs are fairly lengthy, so overall we found the book very interesting. The book ends with ends with 5 question quiz (and answers are on the next page). Amazon rainforest - facts and photos

Great pictures! Fun, brief facts!
Overall, this presented good, brief facts. Probably not suited for young readers to independently read themselves (and may well depend on how your kiddos react to some depictions of the chain of life). However, great for later elementary readers or shared family reading and learning. Facts shared are a 'hodge podge' of information and not consistent among the animals featured (except for the status offering of their endangerment). So, I am standing with a "3" because of the awesome photos, and the fact that elementary kids may be interested in the information, although it is inconsistent and brief.
