I love this fish grip. I'm big on not injuring fish; I cringe when I see a guy lipping a big bass with his hand for the camera and holding it nearly horizontal with its mouth pried wide open. Totally unnecessary and proven very harmful to the fish. With the Fish Grip Jr. I can lip the fish while in the water, remove the lure, run the hook on my scale through the hole in the handle, weigh the fish, snap a quick photo and release the fish - all in under a minute and without ever touching the fish. It's a great tool for making sure the fish lives to fight another day. My only complaint is with the wrist lanyard - you can't remove it without cutting it and just throwing it away. If you plan to weigh your catch, that lanyard is in the way of the scale hole and needs to be removed. I don't know why they don't make the lanyard removable so you can reattach it later or use it for something else.

AWESOME FISH GRIPPER. I use this when fishing crankbaits for Bass. Using this to hold the fish while getting the crankbait hooks out of fishes mouth is way better an safer than lipping the Bass with your hand and removing the hooks. This gripper holds the fish very well. The fish will not shake loose!! Great product!!

Worked great this past season. It really holds the fish well. Then it broke when trying to close it on a fish mouth.

It is a great little tool. Not too big or too small, it just perfect for the hand. It is a well made tool and very lightweight, suppose to float. I try this thing out around the house and it had hold on some heavy lbs and it hold on pretty good. Hope this last because I only got this for a day only so we will see.

Bought it for my kids. Was worried it would be difficult to use. Very easy for them to handle. They’re ages range from 4 yrs old -10yrs. They could all use it with ease.

I used this a few times this past weekend on decent size bass (two of them being over 4 lbs). It holds great and works wonders when trying to weigh a fish on a scale. You can either tape the scale heavily to the scale hook, or there is a small hole by the handle that my scale hook fits into. Assuming something happened to the one I have now, I would definitely buy this one again.
